Chapter 9

That next day early next morning at 5:00 AM Taylor came into my room, he thought I was asleep. I wasn't. he woke me up actually He was carrying a bouquet of flowers and a card…..and a tape! "God!" I thought. "This boy is very forgiving!" He put all the stuff on his night stand and left. As soon as he left I read the card. It said "Sorry Lindsay… love, Tay." I played the tape, because it said "Play" on it. It was a recording of Taylors voice. It said "Lindsay, I think you are really nice too. I am so sorry for being so rude. Lets make up…come into my room right now!" I did. We made up and hugged.

That day before we left for NY I went to the movies with Zac. Like 25 girls came up to us! Some were even nice to me! Zac found someone that he linked named Ashton. He kept talking to her. He put his arm around her during the movie! It was the cutest thing you ever saw! Zac promised to write to her, then the movie ended.

When we got to NY me and Taylor were the closest we've ever been! Best friends! We did a performance that day, and we were gonna be on Conon O' Brien. When we did the performance, my Job was to introduce Hanson and throw beach balls out into the crowd. I thought it would be a blast! I saw like 6,000 girls there! I screamed "Who likes Hanson?!?!" and the girls were like "We love Hanson!" I was like me too! And then I said "Hanson loves you guys more! " Then they ran out on stage and we did our 6 songs and a brief autograph session. Then we left. That night we did Conon O' Brien. There were like 5 girls back stage that got to meet Hanson. We took pictures with them. It was so freezing outside. Taylor put his Jacket around my shoulders. I hugged him. He was so nice! When we reached the hotel I was so tired! "Ugh, I'm exhausted. I'm going to sleep." I said to them. "Ok, goodnight" said Zac and Ike. "Goodnight" said Taylor. I turned around to say good night to him and he gave me a tiny kiss on the lips. I smiled and hugged him. Then I went to sleep. On another happy note, the next few weeks we were gonna have some time off. We went to the beach, and the mall. But today we decided to go back to the mall. All the girls would clobber us. We didn't care though. Thats what we wanted. We all dressed in our most obvious clothes. Tay-his Maroon shirt from MMMBop video, Zac-his orange and red shirt and Ike wore his blue and green Jacket. We stood outside of the gap, talking. Just acting normal! Just then a group of like 100 girls from a camp or something came running towards us! Ripping Ike, Zac and Taylors shirts….. I yelled "Wait one minute!" All the girls stopped and stared at me in disgust. "Okay take a step back, and wait in line to get an auto graph, OK?" I shouted. "Okay" all the girls mumbled. "Thanks" said Zac. We signed autographs for the next 2 hours. Then when we went to leave a man from Sam goody appeared. "Hello" he said. "I was wondering if you could sing MMMBop over the loud speaker for the mall?"

"Um, I think that would be a little to risky." Said Ike. 'Yeah!" said Zac. "What if they announce it on every web page?" he continued. "I can see it now….Hanson……sing for mall unexpectedly and Taylor goes out with Fan!" He said. "Oh, yeah, I agree" said Tay. "Girls would get the wrong impression about us." "Oh well," I said. "Lets do it for all the girls out there." So we ended up singing it. I was thinking: "God, don't people in New York get enough of Hanson?! They go here all the time!"

When we got back to the hotel, boy was I tired. "Lindsay dear" said Mrs. Hanson. "You got two phone calls, 1 from Jenny, and one from Ryan."

"Oh my gosh!" I screamed. "Ryan! He is one of my best friends!" I was very excited, but at that moment my joy turned to sorrow. "Taylor," I thought. "Taylor, well he loves me! Ryan did ask me out before I left, but I told him I'd see when I came home! He was cute! But then again, Taylor……" I turned around. Taylor, he looked hurt. "Taylor?" I said. "Are you ok?" I looked at him. "You know you and Ike, Zac, Jenny, and Ryan are all my best friends. "I'm find Lins," he said. Then he mumbled: "but you know are friendship could be more than that." He didn't think I could hear him. Ugh! I felt so horrid! Like I did when I had the fight with Tay. "Taylor!" I shouted. "Get over it! You should ask me out now, before I tell Ryan yes! If your gonna get this way every time I talk about another guy, ask me out……now…….I like you!"
