Just the way you look tonight

The night was still. The steam coming off the hot tub rose into the night like smoke coming off fire. The steam winded through the trees and curled through the branches. The aroma that the pine trees gave off entertwined with the steam and mixed together to form a sweet smelling mist that looked gorgeous next to an unforgettable almost gone sunset.

Taylor's eyes were the most gorgeous blue I had ever seen that night. The blue was like the waves back in California. My cousin Amy had a waterfront house and when I would visit her every summer I would stay out on the porch-just one night the whole summer. I stayed up the whole night and watched the waves go back and forth and the stars twinkle. Right now, if I weren't here with Taylor, I would have been out by the waves, watching them roll in and out. I saw the waves that night. The color of the blue in his eyes matched the ocean's water and the twinkle in them made me see the stars.

His hair rested on his shoulders gently. He usually had it pulled back because of the hot weather, but tonight it was long and flowing, just touching his bare shoulders. It's color was the perfect shade of blonde in the dark light.

His cheeks had a soft glow and they were lit up by the small smile on his face. The teeny bit of flushed pink looked soft.

And I just sat there, staring at him. I wondered what he was thinking right at that moment. I wondered if he loved me just as much as I loved him. I wondered if he was thinking exactly what I was thinking-at the same moment, at the same time.

We sat there staring at each other for quite some time.

Without a word, he leaned over and kissed me. Nothing in his eyes could stop the love from flowing out. I think the moment was too special even for words, so it had to be expressed some other way.

His kisses became longer and deeper as they passed. His arms held me tight and rubbed the small of my back.

I'm pretty sure you can figure out what happened after that.

Of course, it's not the point, but it is important that you see why it happened.

John Lennon once said: " Well we all shine on, like the sun and the moon and the stars".

And to shine, love had to be made.
