Hastings, Minnesota

The next day A super confidential confrence was booked with Steven Pierce, C.E.O of Mercury Records. It was about the making of the new album. We were discussing songs, covers and photos.

Unfortunatley, Steven Pierce broke his leg the day before we had to meet him in New York. He was at his house visiting his Parents and Family, when he fell off a horse spending leisure time out there. The confrence was very necessary, so we had to fly out to a mid-sized town in Minnesota, called Hastings. We had no idea where it was, or what it was like, but nonetheless we booked a flight for minnesota, with Me, Taylor, Isaac, Zac, and Walker. Diana was goin to keep the little kids at home.

Meanwhile, word spread rapidly throughout the Hanson household that me and Taylor were apart. Avery, being emotional, started to cry when she thought I was going to move away. I assured her that i HAD to stay here because I was still a part of Hanson, and Mrs. Hanson told her we'd probably be back together in a few days anyway. Thanks Alot, Diana I thought. Taylor sat as far away from me as he could at the dinner table, and avoided me as often as possible. I spoke to Isaac about this, because I hated pretensious nervousness. Isaac reassured me that he couldn't deal with his feelings him self so he converted his feelings of loss into anger and crankiness. I though these feelings however, would succide but no such luck.

By the time we got to Minnesota, our "super confidential" confrence with Mr. Pierce had spread around the state. Since Hanson had never performed here, we had tons and tons of girls flocking us at the airport.

Also, news, however, spread that me and Taylor were over. It was very wierd to see the reaction. Suddenly the girls started to smile at me and wave. I tried to manage a weak smile, but it probably looked forced.

Due to popular demand, Mr. Pierce "suggested" that we do a concert here. "What the heck?" Zac said. "Now I can have some more NEW Girls to scream for me. MUAHAHHAHA!"

"Ohhmmmbop, ba dubidop...."

I realized how overplayed and annoying the song was getting. Yuck.

AN HOUR LATER.....BACKSTAGE..........

Taylor looked my way. I glanced at him, and turned back, trying to seem enveloped in me and Isaac's conversation.

"he really is taking it hard."

"I know." I replied quietly. So am I I added to my self.

"You should at least try to talk with him, Linds. You guys cant give each other the cold shoulder forever, you live together."

I sighed. "You're right. Should I do it now?"

"I'm pretty sure it's the sooner the better."

I was silent.

"Come on Linds. It's alright." Isaac stretched out his arms, and I collapsed into them. He held me tight. I realized then how good of friend Isaac was. I started to cry. "Lindsay, honey. It's ok. Shhh. It's ok." He rubbed my back slowly.

"Ike, it hurts so bad." I said through choppy breaths.

"I know it does, Lindsay. I know."

I started to sob harder and harder when I thought about how bad I had hurt Taylor, and how bad I had been hurting my self. Since that night, I hadn't cried once. I had bottled it up inside me in order to ro keep it from hurting. But once it started coming, it came out hard. Isaac kept me close to him, and I knew that he was the best friend I could ever have at a moment like this. I knew he cared about me a whole lot, and I didn't feel like anybody did.

"Lindsay. Lindsay." He loosened his arms and pushed me out gently so I was facing him. "I really think you should talk to Tay. I promise you'll feel alot better."

I nodded and wiped the tears from under my eyes.

"Now come on, Lindsay. Just go talk to him. I'm sure it'll be fine. I'll go find Zac or something."

I smiled. "Okay. Thanks for being so great Isaac."

He flashed me a smile and wandered off farther back. I sniffed a few times and wiped away my tears. Then I turned around.

Taylor glared at me like a hawk. He looked more hurt than ever before. He was staring at me, and his deep blue eyes penetrated my stare back. He turned his head nonchalantly, and started talking to a group of 3 girls.

"Hey guys. What are your names?"

All the girls eyed each other and smiled.

The middle one was the first to speak up. "I'm Cassie."

When none of the other girls spoke (they looked too in awe to talk). "And this is Becky, and this is Martha."

"Hey Cassie, Becky and Martha." Taylor smiled.

I glared at him. I watched every move he made, and every time he smiled.

"So, where are you guys from?"

"Uhh, Welch, it's right outside of Hastings. My uncle," Cassie spoke. "whos' Steven Pierce, broke his leg while me and him were riding, and when he heard you guys were coming here unstead of New York, I asked him if I could have passes." The mid-heighthed girl said. She was very pretty. She had shoulder length blonde hair that was frosted with highlights all around. She had bluish eyes and looked like she could be a model.

"That's cool." Taylor looked over, and as soon as we met eyes he glanced back. "Soo, do you guys date around here? It doesn't seem very populated!"

Cassie laughed. So did the other girls. "Umm, yeah, none of us has a boyfriend right now, but we get out alot."

"Thats cool." He once again checked to make sure I was watching him. "What do you guys do here?"

"Umm...." Cassie paused, and glanced over in my direction. "Is that Lindsay?"

"Yeah." Taylor said quickly, and then changed the subject. "So, do you guys go to the movies or anything around here?"

"Yeah....wait...why did you guys break up again?"

"I don't know. It was stupid. So...." I watched intently.

All of a sudden, a short blonde walked up to Taylor and grabbed his arm and jump up and down. "OH MY GOD IT'S YOU IT'S YOU IT'S REALLY YOU!!!"

Cassie and her friends rolled their eyes at each other.

"Hey...hey!! Slow down!!" Taylor yelled at the girl.

"OH MY GOD ITS YOU !!!!!!! AHHH!!!!!! CAN I KISS YOU!!! CAN I KISS YOU!?!?!" she screamed. Security over heard this.

"Alright, girly, let's go." Jason (Taylor's Body gaurd) tugged on her arm.

"AHH!!!!! TAYLOR!!!!!!!!" Jason grabbed her firmly and dragged her off.

"Whoa!" one of the girls cried. I think it was Becky. "Does that happen alot?"

"Yeah." Taylor said. "It get's so annoying."

"What...." Cassie paused. "Would you really kiss her Taylor?"

Seeing this as an opportunity to crush me emotionally, Taylor spoke up.

Isaac walked up behind me. "Did you---"

"Shh!" I whispered, pointing to them.

"Nahh," Taylor said. I'd probably just go like this. He planted a quick kiss on Cassies cheek.

"YEAH RIGHT!" I turned to Isaac, who was just as stunned as I was. "Yeah right he's taking it hard." And I stormed off outside.
