A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away......well not that long ago lived a man (who still lives). This man's name was George Lucas and the force was with him (actually, he created the force), the point I am trying to make is that he was very talented and if you did not already know this, he is the creator of the STAR WARS Universe.

Lucas' inspiration for the STAR WARS Saga was originally inspired through, Greek Mythology. From that he imagined characters and wrote books about them and their triumphs. He later decided to make the, STAR WARS = A New Hope, movie. Never imagining the movie's great sucess, Lucas, decided to write a full Trilogy on the STAR WARS SAGA.

The first book (as already mentioned) was called, STAR WARS = A New Hope, Episode IV. This episode introduces you to the new found SAGA and its characters like: C-3PO, R2-D2, Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Leia Organa, Han Solo and Chewbacca; as well as: Darth Vader, and the Imperial Fleet. It also tells of how the characters came together for the first time when: Luke, Obi-Wan, Han, C-3PO, and R2-D2, were attempting to save Leia, from the clutches of the, Evil Imperials. They later joined forces to help the Rebel Alliance fight against the Imperial Empire, and later fought together in the Battle of Yavin, where Luke and Han worked together to destroy the Empire's dreaded war machine, the Death Star.

Lucas' sequel to, Episode IV was, Empire Strikes Back = Episode V. This continued the story, but in a bad position for the Rebel Alliance. That is because, the Rebels had lost significant control over the Empire due to the fact that the, Empire was out for revenge since the Rebels last victory. This Episode began with the Rebels being forced out of their secret hideout on, the frozen world of wind and snow called: Hoth. There the Empire won a significant victory over the Rebellion, forcing them out to no home base, and a loss of freighters and fighters. Luckily, Luke and the rest of the gang got away safely and Luke was able to make to the swamp planet, Dagobah and begin his training with the Jedi Master, Yoda. This episode is what we would call a "downer" because, it later goes on to tell of how: Han Solo's old smuggler friend, Lando Calrissian, had plotted the Rebel gang right into the hands of the Empire, eventually leading to the Carbonite freezing of, Han and also leading to the ever infamous battle between Luke and Darth Vader, where look finds out about his true father as well as leading to the loss of Luke's hand. It then ends with Lando becoming an alli of the Rebellion and a scene of the Rebellion on the run.

Lucas' last book, written for the Trlogy was, Return of the Jedi = EpisodeVI. This was definetly the most victorious book of the Trilogy. The story starts with the Rebellion finding out about the, Second Death Star's, building plans. Not thinking that it is operational, the Rebels create a plan to destroy the dreaded weapon, for a second time. They send Han Solo with an elite team of troopers (including: Luke, Leia, C-3PO and R2-D2), down to the sanctuary moon of, Endor, where the Empire's force field for the ,Death Star, was being produced. There they were to break in to the generator, and blow the whole Imperial base to pieces. The Rebellion, also (of course) sent a load of Calamari Ships, X-Wings, Y-Wings, B-Wings, Millenium Falcon and all the other ships they could scrounge up to place an attack on the Imperial forces and the Death Star. Han's team did accomplish their mission, with a little help from the Ewoks but Luke had fled to the Death Star, to meet with the Emperor and Darth Vader for one last time. While in the, Death Star, the, Emperor and Darth Vader tried to presuade, Luke to join the Imperial force and the Darkside. Luke, did not agree, so the, Emperor, tried to kill him but, Darth Vader (feeling sorrow for his son), picked up the, Emperor and through him into a generator, falling to his death. The team of fighters also managed to destroy the, Death Star (after Luke got out safely) and put a pause to the Imperial reign.

This Trilogy was the very root of the STAR WARS Saga and still lives with the New additions by other authors, in their books but, they are still not the same as the imagination of, George Lucas.
