I've been on Vacation, so I know this is a little late.....
The new ALBUM's release is pushed to Feburary!!!
We can't say that Billy Corgan especially, hasn't been busy; soon
the Stigmata Soundtack will be out.

"Everything went atomic: the song, the crowd and the pumpkins,
back in their original lineup, playing clubs in a nine-city road test
of fresh Billy Corgan tunes and plainly loving every minute"
--Rolling Stone

BILLY CORGAN TALKES ABOUT WOODSTOCK

"It seemed like a big joke to me," he says. "[The promoters]
approached us about playing. I won't even get into the business
end of it, but it definitely seemed like whoever was running it
had their head up their ass. They came to us very early,
seemingly very interested in us playing. Then they seemed to
lose interest. Then when some of the other acts dropped out,
they got re-interested. So, you know, the whole thing smelled of
money and being motivated by money, and to try to sell it
under the Woodstock flag, which was a pure once-in-a-lifetime
event."

Where's D'Arcy?

Taken from Rolling-Stone.com:

Is there trouble in the Pumpkin patch? Sources close to Smashing
Pumpkins say that bassist D'Arcy Wretzky has been missing in
action while Billy Corgan and the boys churn out their
follow-up to 1998's techno-flavored Adore in a Chicago studio.
"D'Arcy's participation in this album has been minimal at best,"
claimed one insider. "Billy has been calling the band a power
trio, and [guitarist] James Iha has been doing all the bass parts."

NINE-NINE-NINTY-NINE

D'Arcy has in fact left the band.
The band will still tour in support of their new album,
which will still be released on Febuary 15.....No word yet on
why she left us.

Poems by Lisa Niscior

my mother still wears make-up.

In my innocence
the ice cream truck
stopped for me.
In my innocence
I rode a red tricycle
with ribbons
hanging from the bars.
In my innocence
I sat on the toilet seat
watching my mom
put on make-up and
curl her hair.
In my innocence
I played G-I Joes
with my brothers,
I was always the first casualty.
I got a tattoo
and my navel periced.
Am I still innocent?
I no longer watch my mother put on her face
but,
she still wears make-up.
I've out grown that shiny red tricycle
but,
it still sits ungreased in the grarage;
My G-I Joes, dusty in the basement.
and the ice cream truck annoys me now.
Am I still Innocent?

What Happens When Time Is Still?

Why does each minute
seem longer when your
not here?
It slips by
like a gumdrop
burst inside
the violence of
the stars
raining down
tiny fireflys
in slow motion
to the desert
of
ice cream winters
and the carpet
of jellyfish
dancing beneath my feet
went back to
swimmming in their
sea of Burbon
only wondering when I get to see you again.

Every little girl wants to be D'Arcy!

Day's Neglect

I want something else
to feel so alive
comes like the spring
that melts the winter
rains on the enchanted
in their wonderment
flows the pebbles to
the sand
to take for granted
yet another day
to come again for the self-absorbed
to calm their fashion nightmare
and the sun will set
like the last
to create more disillusions

Where did we loose our innocence?

8:09 A.M.
On the morning bus
a girl is shammed
as if not being human.
Is she made out of flesh
unworthy to be gazed upon
by others?
And as I look
I see the hurt in her eyes
those pericing EYES.
Which could belong to you.

UNTITLED
Dust to dust,
scattered yellow scorn
smiled upon by sunshine.
(Leave me here-I want you to go.)
Tied up in rose petals
bleeding by thorns
you remind me of a
tear I never cried.
And if you say you'll
stay,
just hold me here
until I waste away
to the dust from
which I came.

Smile.

~A THOUGHT~
You contemplate
you
wish you were
dead
with the illusion
of living forever
It is when (only then)
that it's
ripped from your
hands
that you realize
you wish you
were
alive.

Behind My Eyes VI

wind blows moans threw the trees outside my bedroom window it's 12:23a.m. yesterday we chalked and went to the park. we sat on a bench and watched people play frisbee. you left my house at ten, two hours and 38 minutes ago. the hummmmm of my brother's AC is all i can hear at the moment, but your voice i can too, hear laughing. and i realize the moan outside hiding in the trees is my lonliness. -12:42.
