Before subscribing, you should know that this is a high volume list -- with several hundred messages per month being the norm. (For example, October 1998 saw 309 messages sent to the list.) You may also want to read the Rules of the Road, just so you know what you're getting into.

There is also a digestified version of the list available. Please note: the digest version has *exactly* the same messages as the direct version; the messages are simply bundled into digests daily--- or more frequently, if traffic warrants. Right now, a digest is sent when the length of the messages in the queue exceeds 40K or the oldest message in the queue is over 24 hours old. (However, the major will not look at the age of the messages in the queue until a new message is received, so it may be more than 24 hours between digests.)
If you would prefer the digest version of the list, send an email message to: majordomo@list.antronet.com
Please write the following in the Message (not the Subject):

where "Your-Email-Address" is (surprise!!) your email address (not your name.)
In either case, Majordomo will send you an email confirmation that you have successfully subscribed to Steiner98.
Once you are confirmed as a subscriber, send us a note at steiner98@list.antronet.com telling us about yourself and how you found us! (You won't be able to send us a note until your subscription is confirmed, as the list only accepts posts from subscribers.)
If you're too shy to introduce yourself to the whole group, you may consider dropping a line to Tom Mellett, a.k.a. Our Fearless Leader. Since it is his list, it's nice to keep him informed of who's hanging around.
