Birse

From the parish of the same name in Aberdeenshire on the River Dee. The connection is made clear when we look at something that occursed on 26 May 1741. Farquharson of Invercauld requesting the owners of the five parishes of Cromar, Aboyne, Glentanner and Birse to meet him at Tarland to discuss how to keep the country safe from 'lawless men'. At this time Cromar, parts of Aboyne, Glentanner and Birse were owned by Farquharson of Invercauld
