If a "Border Error" happens, it will show up above this line!!

Beat The Border Bug!

Wouldn't it be nice if people viewed your entire page, not just what "happens to load?" Every since the upgrade in 1998 Webtv users have had what is now referred to as:
"The Border Bug!"

Here are 4 different codes you can use to warn people of a border error on your page. Just cut & paste them under your body tags in your pages!

This is my favorite one! When the border error happens a banner will flash in and out at the top of your page that reads:

"WebTv Border Bug Reload"

It won't show up unless the error happens. Believe me, this one gets noticed! This one goes right after the body tag.

Here's the script:

The next one you don't see untill it happens but it's simple and works well.
The "Border Error" will be the first thing people see when it happens.
It goes right after your body tag. Make sure you have a "text="whatever" also so it will show. Here's an example of the body tag on this page:

<body bgcolor="peru" text="black">

Here's the script:

This is what will show up when the error happens:

"BORDER ERROR-Please Reload Page."

Here's another one that works well and can be clicked on to reload the page. This one will go right under the body tag, also. You won't see anything in the box untill the error happens then it will show "bold white text" in the box that reads:

"BORDER ERROR-Please Reload Page."

It will look like this:

Here's the code:

Here's another one that works well. This is what you will see:

"Webtv Bug Has Struck! Please Reload Page!"

Here's the code:

<center> <p> Webtv Bug Has Struck! Please Reload Page! </center>

The text can be changed on these to whatever! I didn't make the codes so I don't know who gets credit for them, except the ones marked, they were sent to me and I wanted to share them. I'll be glad to answer any questions about them.

Know of anymore I can add to the page? Send to:
