My Literary Works

Vintage Poetry

Styx- this was the first poem that I ever wrote. I think I wrote it when I was in seventh grade. Considering my age when I wrote it, I don't think it's that bad.

Staring, Confustion, and Doubt- this poem is a little juvenile. It represents, however, what a lot of young people think when they have a crush on someone. In this poem, for instance, it seems as though the object of affection shows some jealousy towards a third party in reference to the narrator.

Untitled- this is an untitled work that I wrote a year or so ago. It has some deeper undertones and some nice images if you read it like it's some classical poem, but if you just read it like a stupid kid wrote it it kind of loses its message. I pulled emotions from deep inside myself when I wrote it. I hope you can appreciate it.

Impatience- this is one of the first sonnets I ever wrote.

First Love- I wrote this poem about my boyfriend Pat. This was written when I was still unsure as to our future.

Untitled 2- this one I just sat down and wrote while waiting to talk to my favorite teacher. It is more of a "stream of consciousness" poem than anything.

Oceans of Doubt- written about a friend at school, this poem shows what happens when someone is unwilling to enter a relationship even though feelings are mutual. The narrator considers other options, even though she keeps gazing towards the "opposite bank."

Where's the new stuff?
