Welcome, this page is for those who share the love for riding. I have
loved motorcycles since I was very young, my dad drag-raced
bikes(mostly Honda's), and had a couple of choppers. That is where my
love for motorcycles came from, my passion is for Harley's though. I
just got my first bike, a '71 Sportster, I decided to tear it down and
go through everything, so it'll be a while before I get it up and running.
I don't know much about the mechanical stuff, only what I learned from my
dad by being a nosey kid, but I'm learning as I go, and I will be doing
all of my own wrenching. Even if I had the money to have someone else do
it, I'd still do it myself, getting greasy's the fun part.
I can't wait to be in the wind on my own bike. I got tired of riding with
other people, or wondering when I would get to go for another ride, so I
was determined to save to get my own. After saving for a while and
shopping around, I came across just what I wanted for a starter bike. It's
not quite a basket-case, but it is pretty close, it had been wrecked and a
few things are missing, but I don't care because I finally have somewhere
to start. I've always said I would have my own one day, and even though it
isn't running yet, it will be and then I'll finally have what I've always
wanted. Oh yea, if there are any other women out there who desperately
want their own bike and their old man says bikes aren't for women, tell
them "then this woman isn't for you", quoted by: Stormy Dec. 31 1996. It
worked for me, and the next year I was manless, but I got my bike. I'll
be sure not to mix up my priorities like that again! Bye the way, to
satisfy those men who might take that the wrong way, I don't mean all men
are bad, just the one I was married to and a few others. Sorry, but
sometimes the truth hurts.
And for those of you that are wondering more about myself, I am recently
divorced(currently single), 24 years old, student(Industrial Electricity)
female(in case some of you didn't catch that), I work as a student tutor
at ICC(East Peoria, IL), lots of tattoos(gives character), and I will be
getting a photo of myself and my bike(torn apart), very shortly.
What I believe? Well it's pretty simple to me....live life as if today
is your last!! Treat others with respect, and they'll be good to you, if
they're true friends. I don't mind helping others, it gives me a sense of
self worth(you can't take money with you, so QUIT BEING SO DAMN GREEDY!!)
In other words, I'm laid back and will help anyone, until they screw with
me, my family, or friends, then the STORM rolls in!! I got my nickname
from some real close friends, they said I can change like the weather(not
always bad), so that's how I got the name Stormy.
On a brighter note, the next Harley bought in my house will be for my
son, Chas, then you'd better watch it guys 'cause he just might steal your
'ol lady's heart away.
Here he is if you don't believe me!
CHAS(my son)
Links
There are a lot of great links below, so get something cold to
drink, kick back and take a look at the useful and interesting web sites
that are being gathered, as you speak. Most of these links can get you anywhere
you want to go, if you have any suggestions please drop me a line.
Don't forget to sign my guestbook when you're finished, thanks for
stopping in and ride safe!
I have talked to alot of people that have wanted to see a
chat room where bikers could talk without having to deal
with all of the children flooding and doing all of the other
ignorant things they do at that age. Trust me, it's impossible
to talk to anyone, but if you like that sort of thing, go ahead.
Well, I finally got the chat room set up, I have a few minor
changes to make, to it but it is ready to use...have fun chatting!
