I Desire You NEW!!!!!

As the trees desire the sun.

I desire to be guided in your light.

As the leaves are washed by the rain.

I desire to be bathed in your ever lasting water.

As the roots drink this water.

I desire to drink of your ever lasting water.

As the fall wind blows and the leaves fall.

I desire that my problems fall from my mind.

As the winter comes and there are no leaves upon the branches.

I desire to be no problems in my mind.

As spring comes and the leaves are reborn upon the branches.

I desire that solutions bloom form my heart.

As this tree grows year after year,

the outer bark falls from it.

I too desire that all those things of old fall behind!

As a tree gets larger,

because it grows from the rings that are on the inside.

I to desire, to be changed from the inside out.

Cleanse Me NEW!!!!!

Cleanse me Lord from head to toe,

touch me lord while others watch in amaze and see me grow.

Let your healing hand touch me as the souls that come to you show.

Put in me a growth spurt a time of healing and of kneeling,

God take back from the devil for he has been stealing. Stealing the hearts of your children today.

God I know they will come running because of the price you paid.

Let us walk and not be shooken, for on you we stand

we can't leave for we are hooken.

Let all the saints cry out Halleluja because our God is real and he does heals.

A Life For Jesus NEW!!!!!

I'll live my life for Jesus,

Cause Jesus died for me.

Jesus died for me,

On the mount at Calvary.

His death contained a purpose,

His death was not in vain.

Cause ever since the day He died,

Earth's never been the same.

They've never found His body,

some say it's hid away.

But I'll believe what Jesus said,

On the third day He'd be raised.

There is a choice we all must make,

A choice made with our voice.

If we choose not to decide,

We still have made a choice.

Live your life for Jesus,

Cause Jesus died for you.

And when we start believing it,

Our lives become brand new.

The Weaver NEW!!!!!

My life is but a weaving between my Lord and me,

I cannot choose the colors He worketh steadily. Oft times He weaveth sorrow, and I in foolish pride

forget He sees the upper but I the under side. Not till the loom is silent and the shuttles cease to fly,

shall God unroll the canvas and explain the reason why. The dark threads are as needed in the Weaver's skillful hand,

as threads of gold and silver in the pattern life has planned.

Tired NEW!!!!!

Dear Lord I want to ask you a question 'bout my life...

The struggles and the trials and the pain and all the strife;

I just can't see and end you know, heaven seems so far away;

Dear Lord would you hurry up and bring the judgement day?

All I want is to go home and see my Saviour there;

I know it must seem selfish when lost souls are everywhere.

But Lord you know I'm homesick and I'm tired and worn out;

This world of sin is so mixed up, Lord, what's it all about?

Did you ever feel this way when you lived as a man?

Did you ever tell the Father you'd had all that you could stand?

Did you ever for a moment wish you weren't so all alone?

Did you ever want to give it up and just go on back home?

I know you know just how I feel and to admit it is no sin;

So is the battle ever over and do Christians really win?

Is the master of deception ever really bound in hell?

The lies he's told about me are too numerous to tell.

Will anyone ever like me or even think that I'm ok?

Enemies are everywhere there's a new one every day.

How can I go on like this and hold my head up high?

Lord you surely don't expect me to go on and try.

Dear Jesus, did you ever find it difficult to pray?

Or did you ever scowl at the dawn of a new day?

Or did you resent the fact that you hung upon a tree,

And died the death of a criminal to save someone like me?

Dear Lord help me remember when things get really tough,

And all I think or pray about is that I've had enough;

Please remind me that you were shamed but didn't hang your head;

And please remind me that it was also for your enemies you bled.

Dear Jesus please remind me in your gentle loving way

That you never once complained about the price you had to pay.

And please keep my heart in tune to all you want to do

In the lives of my enemies who need to know you too.

I’m Going To Follow You NEW!!!!!

Walk a little plainer, Daddy,

Said a little boy so frail,

For I'm following in your footsteps,

And I don't want to fail.

Sometimes your steps are very plain,

Sometimes they're hard to see,

So walk a little plainer, Daddy,

For you are leading me.

I know that you once walked this way

Many, many years ago,

And what you did along the way

I'd really like to know.

For sometimes when I'm tempted,

I don't know what to do,

So walk a little plainer, Daddy;

You know I'm following you.

Someday when I'm grown up,

You are like I want to be;

Then I will have a little boy

Who'll want to follow me.

And I would want to lead him right

And help him to be true,

So walk a little plainer, Daddy,

I'm going to follow you.

Go Fly Away NEW!!!!!

You’ve reached the runway

The plane leaves at dawn

Start up your engines

It’s time to move on.

The world that awaits you

Will challenge your mind

So, glide like an eagle

And see what you find.

Choose God as co-pilot

Before this great flight

Then reach for the stars

And follow the light.

If you become blinded

When storm clouds arise

Trust your co-pilot

To open your eyes.

The Lord is beside you

You need nothing more

He’ll give you the strength

To rise and to soar.

Let It Shine NEW!!!!!

Light a little candle

And put it where it shows

Don’t it just amaze you

To see how much it glows.

The Lord has called upon you

To make a little spark

To shine his light so others

Might come in from the dark.

Ignite your little candle

It may seem very small

But always keep it shining

And listen to the call.

Go forth and teach to others

The reason that he came

Your tiny little candle

Will spark a greater flame.

Written By Mary Catherine Caldwell

Make It Count NEW!!!!!

Hold him in your Heart

Keep him in your mind

Build from him your strength

Faith and love there find

Pray with all your might

Give with all your care

Make your joy so shine

All will see it there

Be the child of God

He would have you be

Nothing else will count

Through eternity

He Is Everywhere NEW!!!!!

He's everywhere,

I cannot hide,

He created all,

yet by my side.

Never alone,

and not afraid,

He proved His Love,

the price He paid.

He fashioned me

to be unique,

He shares with me

His mystery.

No place to run,

no place to hide,

His lesson for me

is to abide.

God Is Calling NEW!!!!!

God is calling me closer

to hear what He's saying,

To open my ears

to hear as I'm praying,

in the still of the night

I hear it so softly,

A small voice, a whisper,

and maybe His calling.

When I walk along

the pathway of life,

I can't help but see

how close you're to me.

I know you're not far,

as many might say,

but ever so close

to hear when I pray.

I'm available Lord

and I answer your call,

and I promise you this,

that I'll give you my all,

Whatever the cost,

whatever the course,

there's no looking back

nor any remorse.

Written By Joe Medrek

Open My Eyes NEW!!!!!

Teach me, Lord

to make the right choice,

By opening my ears

to hearing your voice.

Prepare my heart

to receive your words,

and make me available

to do the good work.

When I open my eyes,

to start each new day,

Direct them upward,

to you as I pray,

Give me

a heart

that's ready

to fill,

and make it receptive

to doing your will.

At the end of the day,

give me reason to pause,

and show me the purpose

you had from the start.

For my reason for living

is to fit in your plan,

a vessel that's full,

and taking a stand. Written By Joe Medrek

Footprints

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to him, and the other belonging to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.

Lord, you said that once I decided to follow You, You'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed you most, you would leave me.

The Lord replied "My son. My precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

In My Father's Arms

I can face that which I must endure While in my Father's arms

I know that I can win the race While in my Father's arms

He leads me and he guides me Safely from all harm If only on his word I lean While in my Father's arms

The warmth and love that I feel Are not of myself alone But safely in my Father's arms I lean For all my wants and needs

And when I am weary I go to sleep While gently reassured That while I slumber I am kept Within in my Father's arms

Fruits of the Spirit

It's quiet. It's early. My coffee is hot. The sky is still black. The world is still asleep. The day is coming.

In a few moments the day will arrive. It will roar down the track with the rising of the sun. The stillness of the dawn will be exchanged for the noise of the day. The calm of the solitude will be replaced by the pounding pace of the human race. The refuge of the early morning will be invaded by decisions to be made and deadlines to be met.

For the next twelve hours I will be exposed to the day's demands. It is now that I must make a choice. Because of Calvary, I'm free to choose. And so I choose.

I choose love... No occasion justifies hatred; no injustice warrants bitterness. I choose love. Today I will love God and what God loves.

I choose joy... I will invite my God to be the God of circumstance. I will refuse the temptation to be cynical...the tool of the lazy thinker. I will refuse to see people as anything less than human beings, created by God. I will refuse to see any problem as anything less than an opportunity to see God.

I choose peace... I will live forgiven. I will forgive so that I may live.

I choose patience... I will overlook the inconveniences of the world. Instead of cursing the one who takes my place, I'll invite him to do so. Rather than complaining that the wait is too long, I will thank God for a moment to pray. Instead of clinching my fist at new assignments, I will face them with joy and courage.

I choose kindness... I will be kind to the poor, for they are alone. Kind to the rich, for they are afraid. And kind to the unkind, for such is how God has treated me.

I choose goodness... I will go without a dollar before I take a dishonest one. I will be overlooked before I will boast. I will confess before I will accuse. I choose goodness.

I choose faithfulness... Today I will keep my promises. My debtors will not regret their trust. My associates will not question my word. My wife will not question my love. And my children will never fear that their father will not come home.

I choose gentleness... Nothing is won by force. I choose to be gentle. If I raise my voice, may it be only in praise. If I clench my fist, may it be only in prayer. If I make a demand, may it be only of myself.

I choose self-control... I am a spiritual being. After this body is dead, my spirit will soar. I refuse to let what will rot rule the eternal. I choose self-control. I will be drunk only by joy. I will be impassioned only by my faith. I will be influenced only by God. I will be taught only by Christ. I choose self-control.

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. To these I commit my day. If I succeed, I will give thanks. If I fail, I will seek His grace. And then when this day is done, I will place my head on my pillow and rest.

-Max Lucado When God Whispers Your Name

God is like

God is like Coca-Cola: He's the real thing.

God is like General Electricity: He lights your path.

God is like Bayer Aspirin: He works wonders.

God is like Hallmark Cards: He cared enough to send the very best.

God is like Tide: He gets out stains that others leave behind.

God is like VO-5 Hair Spray: He holds through all kinds of weather.

God is like Dial Soap: Aren't you glad you know Him?

Don't you wish everyone did?

God is like Sears: He has everything.

God is like Alka Seltzer: Oh, what a relief He is!

God is like Scotch Tape: You can't see Him but you know He's there!

God is like American Express Card: Don't leave home without Him!

God is like Toyota: You'll like what He does for you!

'Twas the Night Before Jesus Came

'Twas the night before Jesus came and all through the house Not a creature was praying, not one in the house. Their Bibles were lain on the shelf without care In hopes that Jesus would not come there.

The children were dressing to crawl into bed, Not once ever kneeling or bowing a head. And Mom in her rocker with baby on her lap Was watching the Late Show while I took a nap.

When out of the East there arose such a clatter, I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash!

When what to my wondering eyes should appear But angels proclaiming that Jesus was here. With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray I knew in a moment this must be The Day!

The light of His face made me cover my head It was Jesus! returning just like He had said. And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself.

In the Book of Life which He held in His hand Was written the name of every saved man. He spoke not a word as He searched for my name; When He said "It's not here" my head hung in shame.

The people whose names had been written with love He gathered to take to His Father above. With those who were ready He rose without a sound While all the rest were left standing around.

I fell to my knees, but it was too late; I had waited too long and this sealed my fate. I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight; Oh, if only I had been ready tonight.

In the words of this poem the meaning is clear; The coming of Jesus is drawing near. There's only one life and when comes the last call We'll find that the Bible was true after all!

I Asked God

I asked God for strength, that I might achieve. I was made weak, that I might learn to obey. I asked for health, that I might do greater things. I was given infirmity, that I might do better things. I asked for riches, that I might be happy. I was given poverty, that I might be wise. I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men. I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God. I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life. I was given life, that I might enjoy all things. I got nothing that I asked for -- but everything I had hoped for. Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered. I am, among all men, most richly blessed.

If

If you can keep your head when all about you

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,

If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,

But make allowances for their doubting too;

If you can wait and not be tired of waiting,

Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,

Or being hated don't give away to hating,

And you don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;

If you can think and not make thoughts your aim,

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster

And treat those two imposters just the same;

If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,

And stoop and build 'em up with worn out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings;

And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,

And lose and start again at your beginnings

And never breath a word about your loss;

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew

To serve your turn long after they are gone

And so hold on when there is nothing in you

Except the will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch,

If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,

If all men count with you, but non too much;

If you can fill the unforgiving minute

With sixty seconds of distance run,

Yours is the earth and everything that's in it,

And - what is more - you'll be a man my son!

Heaven's Grocery Store

I was walking down life's highway a long time ago. One day I saw a sign that read, "HEAVEN'S GROCERY STORE". As I got a little closer the door came open wide, and when I came to myself, I was standing inside. I saw a host of ANGELS. They were standing everywhere. One handed me a basket and said, "My Child shop with care." Everything a Christian needed was in that grocery store. And all you couldn't carry then, you could come back for more.

First, I got some PATIENCE. LOVE was in the same row. Further down was UNDERSTANDING, you need that everywhere you go. I got a box or two of WISDOM, a bag or two of FAITH. I just couldn't miss the HOLY GHOST, for it was all over the place, I stopped to get some STRENGTH and COURAGE to help me run this race. By then my basket was getting full, but I remembered I needed some GRACE.

I didn't forget SALVATION, for SALVATION was free, So I tried to get enough of that, to save both you and me. Then I started for the counter to pay my grocery bill, For I thought that I had everything, to do the MASTER's will.

As I went up the aisle, I saw PRAYER. I just had to put that in, For I knew when I stepped outside, I would run right into sin. PEACE and JOY were plentiful, they were last upon the shelf, SONG and PRAISE were hanging near, so I just helped myself.

Then I said to the angel, "Now how much do I owe?" He smiled and said, "Just take them with you, everywhere you go." Again, I smiled and said, "How much do I really owe?" He said, "MY CHILD, JESUS PAID YOUR BILL A LONG, LONG TIME AGO." My Precious Friend

Life

Life isn't about keeping score. It's not about how many friends you have Or how accepted you are. Not about if you have plans this weekend or if you're alone. It isn't about who you're dating, who you used to date, how many people you've dated, or if you haven't been with anyone at all.

It isn't about who you have kissed, It's not about sex. It isn't about who your family is or how much money they have Or what kind of car you drive. Or where you are sent to school. It's not about how beautiful or ugly you are. Or what clothes you wear, what shoes you have on, or what kind of music you listen to. It's not about if your hair is blonde, red, black, or brown Or if your skin is too light or too dark. Not about what grades you get, how smart you are, how smart everybody else thinks you are, or how smart standardized tests say you are It's not about what clubs you're in or how good you are at "your" sport. It's not about representing your whole being on a piece of paper and seeing who will "accept the written you."

Life just isn't.....

But, life is about who you love and who you hurt. It's about who you make happy or unhappy purposefully. It's about keeping or betraying trust. It's about friendship, used as a sanctity or a weapon. It's about what you say and mean, maybe hurtful, maybe heartening. About starting rumors and contributing to petty gossip. It's about what judgments you pass and why. And who your judgments are spread to. It's about who you've ignored with full control and intention. It's about jealousy, fear, ignorance, and revenge. It's about carrying inner hate and love, letting it grow, and spreading it. But most of all, it's about using your life to touch or poison other people's hearts in such a way that could have never occurred alone. Only you choose the way those hearts are affected, and those choices are what life's all about.

Tell God

Tell God all that is in your heart, as one unloads one's heart, its pleasures and its pains, to a dear friend.

Tell Him your troubles, that He may comfort you; tell Him your joys, that He may sober them; tell Him your longings, that He may purify them; tell Him your dislikes, that He may help you conquer them; talk to Him of your temptations, that He may shield you from them: show Him the wounds of your heart, that He may heal them; lay bare your indifference to good, your depraved tastes for evil, your instability. Tell Him how self-love makes you unjust to others, how vanity tempts you to be insincere, how pride disguises you to yourself and others.

If you thus pour out all your weaknesses, needs, troubles, there will be no lack of what to say. You will never exhaust the subject. It is continually being renewed. People who have no secrets from each other never want for subjects of conversation. They do not weigh their words, for there is nothing to be held back; neither do they seek for something to say. They talk out of the abundance of the heart, without consideration they say just what they think.

Blessed are they who attain to such familiar, unreserved intercourse with God. ... Francois Fenelon Taken from Christian Quote of the Day

Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind, To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet, To make all your friends feel that there is something in them, To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true, To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best, To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own, To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future, To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile, To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others, To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

What Would Jesus Do?

Lord, throughout this day, As I try to follow you, Let this be my rule to live by: What Would Jesus Do?

When a friend or loved one Asks me for a moment or two, May I think of one thing only: What Would Jesus Do?

In all my dealings, help me To be honest, fair and true, To measure each decision by: What Would Jesus Do?

When I'm feeling troubled And turn in prayer to you, Give me the wisdom to decide: What Would Jesus Do?

Then when the day is ended, may I resolve anew, To guide tomorrow by the motto: What Would Jesus Do?

You are Worthy

Do not undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different that each of us is special.

Do not set your goals by what other people deem important. Only you know what is best for you. Do not take for granted the things closest to your heart. Cling to them as you would your life, for without them, life is meaningless.

Do not let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past nor for the future. By living your life one day at a time, you live all the days of your life.

Do not give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.

It is a fragile thread that binds us to each other.

Do not be afraid to encounter risks. It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.

Do not shut love out of your life by saying it is impossible to find.

The quickest way to receive love is to give love; The fastest way to lose love is too hold it too tightly; In addition, the best way to keep love is to give it wings.

Do not dismiss your dreams. To be without dreams is to be without hope; To be without hope is to be without purpose.

Do not run through life so fast that you forget not only where you have been, but also where you are going. Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way.

Without You

Without you I would be nowhere Without friends who would care There would be no kindness here And would I ever be of good cheer But I do have friends and people who care I also have love and kindness found everywhere For you have me and I have you As long as we have each other nothing else will ever do

Understand and accept me. I may be different from you and I'm Okay.

Treat me as an individual, Then I'll know that I can be my unique self.

Hug me and tell me that you care about me, Then I'll feel loveable and I'll express care to others.

I just wanted to let you know how much I love and care about you and how I greatly desire to become a meaningful part of your life. This morning when you awoke, I was already there with you in the light of My beautiful sunshine that filled your room. I was hoping that you would say "Good Morning" to Me; you didn't. So, I thought maybe it was just a little too early in the day for you to notice Me. Again, I tried to get your attention when you stepped out of your door. I kissed your face with a soft gentle breeze. I breathed upon you my fragrant sweet breath scented with flowers. Then I sang you a love song through the birds in the trees. You just walked right past Me. Later on in the day, I watched over you as you were talking with some of your friends. How I wished that you would talk to Me also. I waited and waited, but you just went along your way. This afternoon I sent you a refreshing shower and glistened to you from each rain drop. I even shouted to you a time or two with thunder trying to get your attention. Then, I painted you a lovely rainbow in the midst of my fluffy white clouds. I just knew you would see Me then, but you were unaware of my presence. This evening to close your day, I sent you a beautiful sunset. After that, I hoped that you would see Me and wink back. You never did. Tonight, when you went to bed, I spilled moonlight upon your face to let you know that I was there with you. I was hoping that you would talk to Me a little while before you went to sleep. You never said a word. It hurts Me deeply; however, I continued to watch over you all through the night thinking that, maybe, just maybe, you would say hello to Me in the morning. Each and every day, I have revealed myself to you in many strange and wondrous ways hoping that you would accept Me as your Shepherd. For, I am the only One that can supply you with all your needs. My love for you is deeper than the deepest ocean and bigger than the great blue sky. I have so very much to give to you and also share with you. Please let Me hear from you soon. Your loving friend forever,

Jesus

The Love of God

The Love of God is greater by far than tongue or pen can ever tell; It goes beyond the highest star, and reaches to the lowest hell. The guilty pain, bowed down with care, --God gave His only Son to win; His erring child He reconciled, and pardoned from his sin!

Oh, love of God! How rich and pure! How mearureless and strong! It shall forevermore endure the saints' and angels' song!

Could we with ink the ocean fill, And were the skies of parchment made; Were every stalk on earth a quill, And every man ascribe by trade-- To write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry! Nor could the scroll contain the whole, 'though stretched from sky to sky!

Oh, love of God! How rich and pure! How measureless and strong! It shall forevermore endure the saints' and angels' song!
