Excess Baggage follows the exploits of Emily T. Hope (Silverstone), an emotionally-neglected rich girl, and Vincent Roche (Del Toro), an unsuspecting car thief who is inadvertantly drawn into a kidnapping plot involving the young heiress. When the kidnapping scheme backfires, she must go on the run, eluding the henchmen for Vincent's boss and, most importantly, Emily's creepy "Uncle Ray" (Walken), an ex-CIA assassin employed by her father to track her down.

Emily T. Hope (Alicia Silverstone) is a brazen teenager looking for love and an identity. Unfortunately, she is emotionally neglected by her father, Alexander .
