Suzy Creamcheese - this picture is rather pretty so it's a shame that you can't see it

The Suzy Creamcheese Bad HTML Co. designs simple, easy to use and modify, web sites. We keep "flashy" animations and java tricks to an absolute minimum - providing a focused and attractive site that is easy to understand.
I don't have any technical training in web design, so I'm less likely to produce technically exciting but unviable sites. I don't talk in jargon or gibberish, so I can communicate with non-experts without confusing them.

Some examples of sites I have created
  • World of Mass. Originally an official site for my University's Catholic Society, this site has evolved with public demand to become the popular satirical site it is now. The frames were an early design stipulation from the committee of the time which have remained because the functionality of the site has been built round it.
  • The Courier. A friend of mine, Joe, asked me to provide a site for a newspaper he was involved in as part of his postgraduate journalism course. I obliged with this simple site, again using frames for ease of updating. Unfortunately, his project ended after only a few issues so I had little chance to test the site in use. Still, I feel the overall look is attractive and simple and that the site "works".
  • Of course I also designed and produced this site!

We have a number of projects in hand including:
  • An online catalogue for Nimbus Press
  • A site to promote a translation service (translatefrench.net)
  • And a recruitment site for the Order of Dominicans.
As soon as these sites are completed and approved I will add links to them in the portfolio.

I belive in simple websites that are easy to modify and that load quickly. I am uninterested in flashy design features unless they actually improve the function of the site.
I try, as far as possible, to keep sites compatible with all the main browsers for both Mac and PC/. Because I use raw HTML code and not a "design package", I am less likely to be trapped into one way of working and my sites will look tidy however they are viewed.
