Gerald R. Ford

	He was born as Leslie King Jr on July 14,1913 in Omaha, Nebraska.
His parents divorced when he was 2 years old. When Gerald R. Ford
married his mother his named was changed.
	He served in the House of Representatives from 1949
until 1973 when he was chosen as Vice President (12/6/1973) to replace 
Spiro Agnew. He became president Aug 9, 1974 when 
Nixon resigned.
His wife is 
Elizabeth Bloomer (born 1918). He chose Nelson Rockefeller as his
Vice President. He was defeated by Carter in a very close election
in 1976.
