She "honors her husband and rears her children," all of them becoming useful people. She is a brilliant example, a rare woman in a society where moral principles have been radically spoiled. We think that, under our old monarchical regime, she would have been a recipient of the royal decree "Virtue deserving royal conferment."

Mrs. Chu Thi. Vu'~ng and her husband, Captain Ly Van Phan, have ten children (seven sons and three daughters). Two of them died during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Ly' Van Pha`n was an Army captain in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (former South Vietnam). He died in the re-education camp in 1983.

Mrs. Vung and her eight children settled in the state of Maryland, USA in June 1975.
