-- CHAPTER TEN --

**********(Lindsay's point of view)**********

It didn't take me too long to calm down after I had yelled. I guess I couldn't blame him. After all, it was a dare that IKE (so he's the one I'm going to kill) gave them, and Zac didn't do too much anyway. I was laughing at him for his little 'adventure'.

"I don't understand you guys. Why do you have to like prove your manness or whatever?" I asked, still laughing.

"I dunno, I guess it's just a guy thing." he answered.

"Hmm, whatever. Hey, do you wanna watch 'The Fifth Element' with me?" I suggested.

"Dude, I love that movie! Sure," he replied.

"Okay, cool. Lemme set everything up," I spoke, walking over to the Tv that was exactly in front of my bed.

Zac plopped down on my bed admiring all the Star Wars posters while I turned on the Tv and Vcr. Milo saw Zac and decided to jump in his lap.

"Hey puppy!" Zac greeted while petting the dog. Milo started to lick his face affectionately. I turned around smiled. Zac was laughing while playing with Milo.

"That's MIlo, my new Dog. Shelly dropped by earlier and gave him to me for a college present," I informed.

"Cool beans," Zac laughed while milo gave him kissies. (awwwweeeeee!)

"He likes you," I smiled.

"I can see that," Zac returned.

I smiled once more and put my attention back to playing the movie.

"I don't blame him for liking you," I said under my breath very softly as I put the tape in.

The previews came on on I layed down in bed next to Zac. Milo was between us. I reached over to pet him the same time Zac did. That caused his hand to be on top of mine.

We looked at each other, blushing, and took both our hands off of Milo. That was the first time Zac and I touched. Freaky. Anyway, the movie started and both of us fixed our attention on the tv screen.

A little more than halfway through the movie, I noticed that Zac had been unusually quiet and he was breathing louder than normal. I looked over at him, he was fast asleep. I smiled, Zac looked just like an angel. I noticed that Milo had fallen asleep too. I gently picked my dog up, carried him across the room, and placed him in his basket. I lay back down in bed and rested my eyes. Soon I had rolled over an layed my head on Zac's chest. My left arm stayed at my side but my right hand was spred out along his stomach. The music of Zac's strong heartbeat and the warmth of his body put me into a peaceful sleep.

**********(Tasha's point of view)**********

I walked into my room to see Zac and Lindsay on the bed sleeping. "Aweee.."I smiled at them and then looked in the left corner of the room. There sat a dog.

"Why hello." I said quietly as I petted his head and scratched behind his ears. He looked up at me with huge puppy eyes and I melted. I grabbed some dry clothes out of my dresser and changed in the bathroom. When I came out, I looked at Zac and Lindsay again. Then I remembered my assignment.

I was about to go get my camera and take a picture when I realised that my camera was in my backpack. And my backpack was in my car. And my car was at the LAKE!!

"Shit!"

I ran out of my room and over to Taylor's and flung the door open. He was standing there in just his boxers.

"Oops!!" I quickly shut the door and stood back in the hallway.

A couple seconds later he opened the door, this time with a shirt on.

"I'm sorry!" I gushed.

He just smiled and turned a slight shade of pink before gesturing for me to come in. I blushed and stepped inside the small room.

"Uh..Tay? I kinda left my car at the lake." I was embarassed at my stupidity.

"How did you do that?" He asked.

"Well I didn't exactly WALK or fly there ya know. I drove there and I guess I forgot when you got there." I admitted.

"Oh. Well, lets go get it then."

He grabbed his keys and pulled me along. I tried not to laugh at the looks people were giving us as we walked out there barefoot and in boxers and baggy tees. I just smiled and waved as if in a parade.

Taylor looked back at me as he pulled me along and laughed. I sat down in the cab of the truck and stared at my feet, wondering why I had just decided to trapze out there barefoot.

**********(Taylors's point of view)**********

I looked over at Tasha and laughed. She gave me a quizical look and then went back to staring at her feet.

Weird.

I continued driving til we reached the lake. Right before she hopped out to go drive her car home, I kissed her on the cheek.

"What was that for?" SHe asked.

"Just because. I dunno." I explained.

"Oo-kay..I think you might have some problems Tay." She raised her eyebrows before running over to her car and starting it.

"More than you know." I said to myself. "More than You know."

I started the truck back up and followed Tasha back to the University, smacking myself the whole way for lying to her.

**********(Tasha's point of view)**********

I reached my room door with my backpack in hand. Surprisingly, Zac and Lindsay hadn't even budged.

I quickly took out my camera and started snapping pictures at different angles, some to turn in for homework and the others to blackmail little Ms. Lindsay with.

Soon I noticed that Zac was waking up. That just made things better for my little plan. He looked at me and gave me a look that could freeze hell. I just gave him a cheezy smile and continued taking shots. Linz was sleeping like a log.

Zac sat up, letting Linz's head fall straight into his lap. (EP Linz!!) I smiled and got some close ups of that one. Linz STILL wasn't awake yet.

Finally Zac shook her awake and she got really red after she realised where her head was.

I quickly hid the camera behind my back and said "Hi Lindsay!"

She narrowed her eyes at me suspiciously before Tay came into the room. He came up behind me and took the camera before looking at Zac and Lindsay sittig on the bed and smiling when he realised what I must have done.

He went and put the camera in my bag while I sat down next to Lindsay as Zac stood up and joined Tay in raiding the fridge.

Zac left the room to go get something from his dorm and Lindsay and I started talking about what she was doing.

"Gosh Tash. You shoulda seen him. He looked like a precious angel when he was sleeping. Just perfect." Lindsay gushed quietly.

Taylor cleared his throat meaningly and I looked up to see Zac standing in the doorway, obviously hearing every word that Lindsay had said. I looked over at her to see what her reaction was.

She bolted up from the bed and rushed past Zac out into the hallway, her face flaming red.

I could tell she was mad. I jumped up to go after her but Taylor grabbed my arm.

"She needs time to herself." He advised.

"Taylor, I will be the judge of that. SHe needs someone there. I am not gonna make the same mistake YOU did! You should have came after me. I wanted you to come after me!" I spat before racing after Lindsay.

I could hear someone running after me. I didn't care. I just ran faster in search of Lindsay. I found her in the girl's bathroom, sitting on the counter.

"Hey Linz. You okay?" I asked.

She turned to me. Her eyes were red from crying. She quickly looked away.

"Yeah fine." She finally said.

"No you're not. You want to talk about it?" I asked, taking a seat next to her on the counter.

"About what?" She asked.

"Well, yesterday you were pretty upset about something and just now you kinda ran out of the room. I mean, I wanted to talk about it when I was upset and instead I ended up getting drunk because someone didn't care enough to come after me." I explained.

"Tash, I'm really sorry about not coming after you. I should have.." I cut her off.

"I meant Taylor, Snork."

She laughed and said "OHh. Okay."

"But what's up?" I asked, pulling my knees up in front of me.

"Nothing much. I just got kinda embarassed. And I still am not ready to talk about the incident a couple of days ago." She said.

"Okay. Well, we are gonna have to hide out in here for a while."I mentioned.

"What did you do Tasha?" She asked me, almost accusingly.

"Well, I kinda got pissed at Taylor when he got in my way and I said some things I shouldn't have." I explained tactfully.

"Okay. Guess we are stuck then." I was about to say something else when I suddenly heard Zac's voice outside the door.

"Hey Tay! I think they are in here!" He called.

Lindsay and I quickly jumped off the counter and hid underneath it, crossing our fingers that they wouldn't come in and look.

**********(Taylor’s point of view)**********

As I followed Zac down the hall, I felt really guilty about not coming after Tasha that night. I suspected that she liked to be alone when she got mad. I did, at least, for a while anyway. I never thought she'd get mad about it. God, I've been treating her like shit. First I sit back and let her cry, and then I lie to her. Yeah, real faithful. Tasha didn't deserve this. Now I was thinking, she didn't deserve me.

I pushed those thoughts to the back of my mind and focused on bugging Zac about Lindsay. Maybe he'd actually spit something out now that he knew that she was madly in love with him.

I really couldn't blame Lindsay for running off like that. In fact, the same thing (but it was about a girl, duh) happened to me once and I did exactly what she did. Run away, face redder than hell. I hope she wasn't crying, I hate to see anybody cry. Especially Tasha. But anyway, now was the time to bug Zac until his brain turned to toothpaste if it wasn't already.

**********(Zac's point of view)**********

I stood staring at the door, wondering if I should go in or not. There was no telling of other girls were in there or not. Soon Taylor came up behind me with a weird look on his face.

"Tay? Sup boy?" I asked him.

"Hmm? Nothing. Why are you so determined to catch Tasha or Lindsay anyway?" He asked.

"Ummm...just cuz I want to know whatz up."I tried to come up with a logical reason.

"Uh-huh. SURE. I think you just like Lindsay and don't want to admit it." He gave me a smug all-knowing look.

"SHUDUP! I do not!" I tried to defend myself.

"Yes you do." He replied.

"Fine. MAYBE I do. Just MAYBE. But what if I do? That doesn't mean that she likes me!" I defied before realising what I had just said and exactly where I was standing. I grabbed Tay's arm and pulled him away from the door.

"Listen dick head, you better not breathe a WORD of that to anyone. ANYONE!" I threatened.

He nodded as if he had already won. I could have smacked him for that look on his face.

"Now what are we gonna do about the girls?" He asked.

"They'll come back. I know they will. We will camp out in their room until they do." I suggested.

Taylor nodded and we headed back up to their room, and sat down to await their arrival.

**********(Tasha's point of view)**********

I smiled at Lindsay. "Did you hear that?? He LIKES YOU!!" I jumped up fom under the counter and started dancing around like a fool.

She gave me this weird look before actually smiling. "Yeah. He does doesn't he?" She stood up and joined in dancing hyperly with me until I suddenly realised what I had said to Taylor.

I immediatly sat down on the floor and sighed. "Oh shit." I could have hit myself for how stupid I was.

"What?" She asked, sitting down on the floor beside me.

"I just got REALLY mad at Taylor and then yelled at him for not coming after me when he saw me running from the room." I explained.

Linz gave me a sympathetic look. "Tash, I am sure hes not mad at you or anything. Just go in there and apologize." She advised.

I nodded and stood up. "C'mon Snork. We have some 'splaining to do." I pulled her up and we laughed as we walked towards the door.

"ya know, itz odd to think that I could use bathrooms for a therapy session." I laughed.

She grinned and we walked back up to the room.

Instead of going in, we stood in the hall and started singing "Push" by Matchbox 20 at the top of our lungs.

They whipped the door open and pulled us in while we laughed and continued singing.
