Chapter 8
[Occurrence]

"So where did the bruise really come from?" Zac asked Ana once they were seated in the waiting room.

"I don't know what you mean." Ana looked everywhere but in Zac's eyes.

"Ana, you don't get giant bruises like that without knowing where they come from. Its just not possible. You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, but please don't lie to me." Zac looked her straight into the eyes with sincere care.

"I...I.... I got in a fight." Ana was able to look him in the eyes. It wasn't a completely fictional thing. She just with held some details.

"Then why didn't you just tell the doctor that?" Zac asked.

Ana scanned her brain quickly for an excuse.

"I thought he may have the record of him and call his parents." That wasn't false either.

"HIM? What do you mean HIM? No guy should hit a girl. No matter what. I would never hit a girl. Neither would my brothers. Squirting with water guns isn't exactly out of the question but I would never deliberately swing at a girl." Zac boiled with rage on the inside towards the guy who hit her. He didn't know who the guy was, nor did he care. But if he met the guy, it wouldn't matter what his name was unless the morgue requested it to put on the headstone.

He was ready to kill the guy over just one girl.

But was this really "just one girl" or was she more than that? Zac battled it out inside his head as Ana looked around the stark white waiting room while the other three went walking around in the hallways.

"Hey!" She suddenly yelled.

A teenage boy turned around and looked at her.

"Kyle? What are you doing here? Mom's going crazy with worry over you."

The teenage boy didn't answer, just turned and hurried down the hallway as fast as he could on his two crutches.

Ana was about to bolt up after him when the other three suddenly appeared.

Alana and Ike took a seat right next to each other. Taylor walked down a couple of seats and just plopped down. A defeated look washed over his face as he slumped in his seat.

Ana stood up and walked over to him.

"Taylor? Are you okay? You sure are taking this awful hard. We're all here for her. Its affecting us all. Do you want to talk about it?" Ana tried to console him.

Taylor looked up at her. Ana could see deep sorrow and worry etched in his blue eyes. And uncried tears.

"I...I...." Suddenly all the stress that Taylor had been trying to cope with and all the accidents just became to heavy for him.

Taylor, the same Taylor who always appeared shy and well conserved, leaned on her shoulder and just cried. His shoulders heaved with heavy sobs.

"I care for her, Ana....I really care for her....and I don't even know her.....its like part of me is gone......I just want her to be okay." Taylor managed out between sobs.

"Its okay. Its all gonna be alright." Ana smoothed while rubbing his back gently.

Soon, Taylor's sobs subsided to occasional sniffles and an inconstant tear streaming down his face. After a while, Taylor had cried himself to sleep.

Zac came and sat by Ana.

"You know, I'm really sorry about presurring you about that bruise. Its none of my business and you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. If you ever need someone to talk to though, I'm here for you." Zac took Ana's hand to reassure her.

"Well uh Zac? I think you are gonna find out sooner than expected." Ana swallowed loudly as a boy that appeared to be about 14 or 15 came walking towards her, very angry.

"What the hell is this? I step away from your side for one minute and you go whoring around with 2 girls at the same time. Who are these guys? They look like Girls to me! Come here. Its time you learned your lesson." He roughly grabbed her arm and pulled her outside the building. Zac finally processed in his brain what had happened and raced up after them.

*Sorry this is so short, but it didn't seem logical to put any other occurences in this chapter.*
