Back-To-School Already...

It's hard to believe that for some teachers they are getting ready to go back to school. Unless you are on the traditional calendar, you are preparing your classrooms and putting up new bulletin boards.

Here are a few quick ideas to make going back to school easier and starting off the year fun.

On the first day of school, skip the traditional What Did You Do This Summer? Instead, read My Head is Full of Colors. Then have each student use construction paper to create their face then make thier hair be what their head is full of. This will let you know what your kids like to think about.

To keep your important master copies of papers at your finger tips, insert them into sheet protectors in a three-ring binder. This keeps them all together and in a safe spot and you won't accidentally use your last copy.

Keep a box a baby wipes on hand. They are great for spills, and cleaning the computer keyboard, and your students' desktops.
