TYB Books -- Anime
I love anime. Got into it on the bare fringes in junior high watching those cheezy afternoon translations on TV. But then I was working at this video store and watched Akira on video and by then it was MUCH too late. Before too very long I owned every anime video available in America (legitimately) and then I had no money and couldn't keep up anymore, and they were coming out faster than I could watch them anyway. I started buying them because I couldn't rent them, 'cause no one had them. I have a friend who called me an anime goddess. I even started learning Japanese. I'm in recovery now. I feel like an alcoholic. I can't even look at the anime rack in Suncoast or wherever because I know there's so much now I don't have that if I knew about them, I'd want them and can't afford them. It's all or nothing. This page has books on anime. For the videos, go to my TYB CDs Anime page for a complete list. And if you're ambitious, do what I did, and learn Japanese! That way you won't be a slave to American distributors like I was in the early days.
