I always wanted to be a scientist when I grew up. Well, specifically an astronomer, of course, but I always felt a great affinity for science and scientists generally, especially the iconclasts who challenged religion and superstition--somehow they always seemed to be the ones that made the greatest strides in the advancement of our knowledge. (Hmm, I wonder why that is . . . ?) Anyway, I've included a list of biographical books on some of these guys below, and a list of links to similar things on-line. I have a special page dedicated the works and life of Carl Sagan. I'm sure I don't have everyone here I should. If you know of any that I really must include here, please let me know. Anyone from, say, Anaxagoras to the present is an acceptable candidate. If only we could all have as big an impact as these guys, huh?
