Tera And Nick

Disclaimers: This story is totaly fiction, and not ment to imply anything about any of the Backstreet Boys sexuallity lifestyle etc...

I'm only using the name Tera for the main character because a certain twit known as Calguy had to stick me in his story (Banging B-Rock) the character may resemble me but I swear she isn't me... but after Calguy stuck her with Nick I just couldn't keep this out of my head... I don't even really like Nick that much honestly.(I'm a Kevin fan what can I say)

Part One

I hardly looked up as the group entered the restaurant, and almost groaned as the host, Richard seated them in my section and brought me the drink order. Great just what I wanted to deal with this morning I thought as I prepared there drinks, six... no seven guys. They'd probably get rowdy and be total jerks, no tip.

Picking up the tray I headed for the table thinking of ways to kill Richard. Slowly and painfully sounded pretty good. I was enjoying it so much I didn't really look at the table occupants until I was right there.

And then I screamed the tray falling from my suddenly nerveless fingers. Sitting in front of me were The BackStreet Boys.

The crash of the tray brought me out of shock pretty fast, my face flushing in embarrassment, and Richard's hysterical laughter echoing around the whole restaurant. "Dammit Richard, you should have warned me!!" I howled considering throwing some of the fallen glasses at him. "This isn't fun..." Trailed off finding myself eye to eye with Brian.

"Hey, how ya doin?" he asked.

"Fine." I with a slightly hysterical giggle. He really was a babe.

"Here, let me help you with that" He offered.

"No, it's ok.. I'll get it." I managed to get out. He picked up the tray anyway, but then Sara the other waitress on this shift rushed over to help. Though She wasn't really much help, she was to busy stealing glances at the table's occupants.

Knowing Sara was the kind of person who would literally throw herself at the Boys feet, weep and quite likely faint I quickly gathered up the glasses and sent her off to the kitchen.

"I'm really sorry about that, it's not every day that one of your favorite bands sits at your table." I apologized hoping I wasn't blushing as badly as it felt like I was.

"Thanks" Kevin said. "Sorry we startled you."

"Richard did that on purpose. He knew I would over react." I told them, with a glare in Richard's direction, which of course started him howling again. I rolled my eyes. "I'm never going to hear the end of this." I sighed then remembered I did have a job to do here. "Anyway. What can I get you?"

I took the orders and headed back to get a second batch of drinks after the first batch's untimely meeting with the floor.

The second I was out of sight of the Boys table Sara accosted me. "Oh my god, you do realize who that is don't you."

"Of course I do Sara."

"Could I take the drinks out to them? *Please.*" She begged. I'd been afraid of this.

"Sara first of all you're so hyped up you couldn't carry a tray, and second they came for breakfast not to be harassed." I tried to say it lightly. But there was absolutely no way I was going to let her torment them. "Besides I added you have your own customers."

"I'll never forgive you for this." She sulked.

"Yes you will." I told her picking up the second tray of drinks.

Something had obviously been said about me at the table, every one of them was watching me expectantly, as I delivered the drinks. But then I suppose my reaction would have been rather humorous from their point of view. "Your food will still be a few minutes." I said smiled enjoying the view in front of me.

"Well then have a seat." Brian said, gesturing to the empty space that I didn't remember being by Nick, I could have sworn it had been at the far side of the table earlier.

I wanted to, I really did. But this was work after all. "I really shouldn't I have work to do…." I said trying very hard not to sound disappointed or to be rude.

"The restaurant is practically deserted, and this part is empty, that's why we chose it, sit for just a second." Brian said with a smile that had a drew a reaction for me something like the combined effect of cute kittens and chocolate. I could resist, it was a once in a lifetime chance after all I told myself.

"Ok, only for a second." I said sitting on the very edge of the seat. We talked for a few minutes, mostly mindless small talk. I learned the identities of the two no band members. Darren the net rep, who I'd heard on the radio earlier, and Scott was some sort of director I think. I wasn't really paying that much attention to him. Several minutes later I left to get their food. I had to stop once I was out of sight and lean against a wall to catch my breath. They really were amazing.

When I brought out their order Brian tried to get me to sit again but by this time there was an elderly couple in the section too. (At least Richard had had the sense to keep the families with daughters and the younger customers on the other side of the kitchen, which separated the restaurant in to two sections.)

They ate quickly and all too quickly I was handing over the receipt card slip for Scott to sign. I was just turning away when Nick spoke up. "Ahhhh…. Tera???" He said uncertainly as though he was afraid he was going to mispronounce my name despite its simplicity. "Would you be interested in getting together for dinner tonight?"

I think my brain did a few somersaults and I know my heart stopped. My jaw hung open in shock. Nick Carter had just asked me out. Nope I must be dreaming these things don't happen to normal people like me. "You're kidding, right?"

"No, it's a off night. The concert isn't until tomorrow. I'd love it if I could take you out to dinner and you could show me some of the city."

I blinked, then did it again for good measure. "Okay." I said slowly.

About ten minutes later Sara cornered me in the kitchen. "Alright. What happened?" She demanded. I just blinked at her. "Tera what happened you've been zoned since they left. What, did they touch you? Give you tickets? *Whhaaat*?"

"He asked me out."

"He? Which he?" She demanded even more eagerly. "Brian, Kevin... which one?"

"Nick." I said regaining a few brain functions. "Nick asked me out for dinner tonight."

"Oh my GOD." Sara shrieked. "I don't believe it you're going on a date with one of the BackStreet Boys."

I'm not exactly what when on for the rest of that shift. Mostly gushing from Sara I believe. I was still in something resembling shock. As I left that evening a smacked Richard up the back of the head. "You're still in trouble and should N'Sync ever walk in you'd better put them in Sara's section." I warned him jokingly. Hey it could happen. I was going out with Nick, there was no reason they might not walk in tomorrow.
