GENERAL INFORMATION:
Chestnut Ranch is located in the downtown area of the wide spread Concord.
Chestnut Ranch is open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, Chestnut Ranch remains open until 7:00 PM. All facilities are closed on Christmas and Thanksgiving, and some facilities subject to closing during inclement weather. Chestnut Ranch reserves the right to close completely at any time without prior notice.
Chestnut Ranch does not charge a general admission fee, however fees may be encountered once entering Chestnut Ranch at different attractions, recreations, areas, etc. Many educational programs and special events may receive discounts towards the attractions, recreations, or areas that may require a small nominal fee.
Chestnut Ranch also offers free parking inside The Ranch, although the supply of parking available is very limited and may change. Additional free parking is available on the city streets near Chestnut Ranch, including the streets on the front, the side, and the back of Chestnut Ranch.
RANCH TOURS:
Special tours of Chestnut Ranch are available, by reservation only, to visiting school and community groups. Tour reservations must be made a minimum of two weeks in advance, a small fee may apply for group tours. Please kindly give 48 hours notice if you wish to cancell a scheduled tour. Student tours must be chaperoned by a minimum of two adults for every 30 students. Chaperones must be provided by your organization or group.
RANCH MEMBERSHIPS:
As a member of Chestnut Ranch, you will not only enjoy the free admission into Chestnut Ranch 363 days a year, weather permitting, but you will receive many other special privileges also. You will also receive the Annual Report, informative newsletters, and invitations to special events at Chestnut Ranch. Your membership also entitles you to special discounts and other purchases at Chestnut Ranch. A Ranch membership is a wonderful way to support Chestnut Ranch's programs and offers great savings for those who visit often. Membershps can be purchased for a small fee.
VOLUNTEER AND DONOR OPPORTUNITIES:
There are many different ways to support and anticipate in the continuing work of Chestnut Ranch. Volunteer opportunities are coordinated through our Education Department. New docents are welcomed to the volunteer Docent Council through a training program that begins every January. In-kind proffesional support is also welcome.
Donations can be made through programs, such as the Annual Fund and Capital Campaign Funds. Call our Development Department for further details. You can help support Chestnut Ranch so that it may continue to provide a quality recreational and educational experience for all who visit.
