THE    SILENCER    STAR    WARS    PREQUEL    SPYNET

On September 26, 1997 new summaries were posted . . . I apologize, once again, for taking so long to update. But let me try to justify why it took so long. As you may know, I own several comic book/sci-fi shops in the San Francisco area and have to constantly search toy stores, flea markets, etc. to replenish my stocks. Here is some of the stuff I came across over the past three weeks: I found 3 unopened boxes of two-pack beast assortments at a local Toys 'R Us. In each box, there are 6 packs: 2 Han Solo/Jabba's. 2 Jawa/Ronto's and 2 Stormtrooper/Dewback's. From these 3 boxes I bought the Solo/Jabba tandem (6 in all), I resold these 6 packs for $ 35 each at my store and only paid $ 15 plus tax for each . . . I finally received my order of B'omarr Monks from Hasbro. I ordered a bunch of those suckers and sold 10 of them in the first day at $ 20 a pop. Also, I got a special limited-edition proto-type AT-AT vehicle from Hanger 18 (in appreciation of my loyal ordering from them) It currently has a price tag of $ 150, but no one's bought it yet . . . the comic side of my business is still lagging with the X-Men title of books keeping my comic business alive right now. I hope to update more quickly in the future. See U at the movies in May 1999 ! ! ! ! !

On September 3, 1997 new summaries were posted . . . I apologize for taking so long to update, but I have been busy selling my "stuff" at several sci-fi conventions. I own and operate several comic book/sci-fi shops in the San Francisco area and will be raiding the toy stores and retail stores (i.e., K-Mart) and Hanger 18 (They sell cases of 16 S.W. action figures for only $ 90 a box) to replenish my stock of toys, etc. See you at your fave toy store !

THE LATEST PREQUEL NEWS AND RUMOURS

STAR WARS PREQUEL WATCH

9 - 26 - 97

Apparently, the Prequel Watch will not be updating until it unveils its new format. (I hope they avoid using Java Applets). If you want to give Garindan suggestions on how to make the new Prequel Watch as good as it can be, then contact Garindan at his temporary e-mail address. The transcript of the chat with True Fan has been posted to the site. I read it, of course. And of course, it doesn't reveal anything concrete or significant about the prequel for the simple fact that True Fan doesn't have any contacts at Lucasfilm that know anything, unfortunately. (Does Prequel Watch really expect us to believe that they got to go inside the Lucasfilm model shop? Why didn't they sneak out something and scan it onto their page?)

8 - 31 - 97

Garindan of Prequel Watch reports that there will be an on-line chat with True Fan at 3 P.M. 8/31 (Note: It is doubtful True Fan will reveal any information of substance since True Fan does not have any real important people as sources at Lucasfilm.) Prequel Watch is planning to post the chat with True Fan on its page soon . . .

8 - 3 - 97

Appears there is a rumour going around that the first Prequel will be called The Ways of the Force (sounds great!) . . . better than Genesis, Balance of the Force, etc . . . However, True Fan's source at LucasFilm states that this title like all the ones that are currently circulating are false AND LucasFilm actually finds humor in this title (shouldn't this be obvious to us all? LucasFilm is conducting a clever mis-information campaign!!??) . . .

REBELJEDI'S STAR WARS UPDATE

9 - 26 97

The Rebel has a new source he calls "Ian," who claims he/she is working at Leavesden building the sets or something (Is there anybody at Leavesden that's not claiming to report "leaks" to the internet? I think these sources are a bunch of bull. These "inside" sources are just Star Wars fans wanting to get their rumors posted on someone's web page. Of course, I'm posting their info. too so I guess their ploy is working.) Ian claims some of the photos released by Lucasfilm are disinformation. (So according to Ian even when Lucasfilm does release photos they're fake. What kind of twisted logic is that, Ian? I guess Lucasfilm is da*ned if they do and da*ned if they don't !!) Anywho, Ian reports that sets are being constructed for scenes on Couruscant and that Liam Neeson's character dies in Episode 1.

8 - 27 - 97

R.J. reports that the photos released from Tunisia are mis-information from Lucasfilm (Note: No surprise with that tid bit) . . . There will be amphibious stormtroopers in the prequels (Note: R.J. doesn't give the name of a concrete source for this rumor) . . . There will be an aquatic battle at the end of Episode 2

8 - 11 - 97

R.J. reports that their will be an amphibious battle somewhere in the Prequels (Concorde Dawn? Mon Calamari is too obvious) (great pics and one is animated ! ! !) . . . The prequels will explore the character origins of various individuals like Owen and Beru Lars (who both may have been Jedi !! ??), the venerable, imperial officers of the Empire, Mon Mothma, Jabba, etc . . .

Yoda will only be C.G.I. when walking (does this really matter?) . . . IG-88 assassin droids may be in the Prequels (O.K.). . Kashyyyk (the Wookiee homeworld may be in the Prequels) (I would love to see how Chewie and Han really met). . . The Prequels will use alot of sets that are either C.G.I. or greatly C.G.I. enhanced (That's obvious, I.L.M has only spent the last 20 years trying to accomplish such technology!). . .

Tons of new ships, vehicles, etc. will be introduced in the Prequels (behold the merchandising prowess of the LucasFilm Empire) . . . I.L.M is trying to create a photo-realistic representation of Kenobi in his mid-thirties (that would be mind-boggling and awesome) . . . R.J. also has a link to a fascinating summary of the possible plotline to the Star Wars Prequels . . .

Chris Kivlehan's STAR WARS PREQUEL SITE

9 - 26 - 97

Kivlehan's neat little site is no more. But not to worry, Kiv-ster is joining the new SUPER STAR WARS SITE with a bunch of others. More on this in the Texas A&M section below . . . . Before Kiv-ster turned "off" his site due to Lucasfilm pressure (just kidding. I bet Lucasfilm doesn't even know these sites exist), he posted some amazing exclusive photos from the Tunisian set that his spy code named, Delta Source (who was a member of the Delta Force several year ago, no kidding !!). Seems Delta Source was part of the second-unit in Tunisia and claims to have seen Pod races and names like Darth Maul, Jar Jar, etc. (Let's be honest. There is no pod race in the prequel and the names he gives us are not only lame and silly, they are false. Apparently, Delta Force is not all that he/she may seem to be.) . . . Goodbye to the Kiv-sters site forever, we're going to miss it !!!!

9 - 1 - 97

Chris fell victim to a hoax involving pics from the game, Dark Forces 2 . . . Krayt dragons may be in the prequel (Note: I could care less about seeing some C.G.I. dragon in the prequel) . . . Liam Neeson's character may own a Corellian freighter (i.e., a Millenium Falcon-type ship) (Note: Please no more rumors about the Falcon being in the prequels ! ) . . . The photos from Tunisia may be misinformation

8 - 10 - 97

Chris may have hit the motherload with his latest unconfirmed Prequel rumours---> Chris now has a former LucasFilm employee (bitter maybe) that gives a ton of information like Lucas does have a "short-list" of the titles for the Prequels known only to Lucas (and me, just joking!!!!!) . . . The security surrounding the Prequels is so tight that none of the "grunts" working at I.L.M. will ever view the Prequel scripts and the actors only receive the portion of the script that will be shot that day (cool ! ! ! I wish I was an I.L.M grunt or even a fly on the wall) . . . Palpatine's true identity will remain a mystery in the first Prequel (Yes!) . . . The second Prequel does not end with the duel between Anakin and Ben (then what is the cliffhanger? Palpatine is really Anakin's father?) . . . Anakin may never have fallen into a molten lava pit (What??!! Awesome, Lucas may ignore what we assume to be true about the Prequels ! ! !) . . . Everytime you see Lucas or McCallum next to something in a photo don't assume it is going to be in the Prequels (so that Burger King in the background of that one photo with Lucas and Hamill, O.K., I get it) . . . Lucas usually limits a Star Wars Film to 3 or 4 environments (i.e., desert, tropical, aquatic, artificial)(Lucas is a tight wad!!) . . . great stuff ! ! ! ! !

RED 5: The Definitive Page

9 - 26 - 97

Steve (the maintainer of Red 5) is basically reposting the false info. that I believe Harry Knowles is posting on his site (i.e., pod races, Darth Maul, Jar Jar, Qui Gon Jin [or whatever]). I'm surprised that Steve is falling for this stuff, too. And I hope he doesn't post any more of that crap from his source claiming to be an extra in the prequel. Steve use to have such high standards. (Maybe he's getting bored at work or something?)

9 - 3 - 97

Red 5 claims to have a U.K. source that will be an extra in the prequel (Note: The circle is now complete. Even Red 5 has stooped to the level of creating fake sources . . . why? Expect little real info out of this source just like all the other fake sources)

8 - 4 - 97

Lucas will direct the first Prequel to set the tone, look and style of the Prequels (Old News !) . . . Lucas has joked that the Prequel is more like an animated film than a live-action one because the film will contain over 1,500 special effects shots (Yeah, haaaaa! Action, action, action . . . oh and a ton of new action figures, too) . . . 20th Century will most likely distribute the Prequel (I could care less at this point!) . . . John Williams will score the films (Duh!) . . . Carrie Fisher will work on the scripts (whatever!!??) . . . The first prequel should be finished by February 1998 (then why not release the damn thing on Memorial Day Weekend 1998, George!!!!!!!!!!!!) . . .

THE STAR WARS PAGE AT TEXAS A&M

9 - 26 - 97

This Site is closing it's door forever, but it will be re-emerging as the SUPER STAR WARS SITE with the URL address http://www.theforce.com. The only question now is which will debut first the prequel or the Super Site. Apparently, the boys are having some internal fighting regarding some minor and major details of the operations of the site and they may be forced to push back the opening of the site for a few weeks. Anyway, this is where Chris Kivlehan and his sources will undoubtedly turn up next along with some other various minor web masters from other prequel web sites. Each section of the site is going to be managed by a different "team" of guys. Considering that this will undoubtedly be the most thorough and largest prequel site in existence, it should, within a couple of months, surpass Red 5: The Definitive Page (currently the most popular private prequel website) in hits per day.

As far as rumors, A&M has posted a picture that has a box with Wookie and Tusken Raider masks in it. A&M claims this is stuff going to be in the prequel. (I think the masks look like Halloween masks that you guy buy through the Star Wars Insider Magazine. (1-800-TRUE-FAN)).

The Top 5 Prequel Sites in Hits per day according to Yahoo! statistics:

1. The Official Prequel Web Site

2. Red 5: The Definitive Page

3. Star Wars: The Prequel Watch

4. Star Wars Prequel Database

5. Numnuts on Star Wars Movies

9 - 1 - 97

According to the bulletin board page on Texas A&M, many of Texas A&M readers are angry that Mode was created by that page to create reader interest (Note: Congrats ! Texas A&M page you join the illustrious ranks of the long list of hoax sources: Princess Vespa, True Fan, Harry Knowles' sources, Spylord and a host of other fake sources used by other S.W. pages to make their pages seem more hip and legit . . . .)

8 - 8 - 97

A "bad" mother may have something to do with Anakin's fall from grace in the Prequels (jeez, I didn't know my mom was in the Prequels; she's even worse than I thought she could have at least got me a cameo as a Jawa or something) . . . Read the early drafts of the Star Wars Trilogy to get an idea of what might be in the Prequels (but I hate to read!) . . . Luke may have visited Yoda on Dagobah as a young child (can't wait to see that in the Prequels [sarcasm]) . . . Anakin will be a child prodigy with awesome Force powers (just like me) . . . Delusions of grandeur concerning Anakin's heroics in the Clone Wars contribute to Anakin's fall from grace (hmmm, delusions of grandeur just keep me from scoring, guess I'm sort of lucky) . . . The Prequels may borrow from a Japanese film called the Seven Samurai (No, there are some things that I want even do, I ain't renting some subtitled film from Video Galore) . . . The Prequels may have a slower pace that the original trilogy (No kidding!!! It's only taking Lucas 20 years to make the Prequels ! ! ! !)

In case you would like to visit these sites, check out the link section. Maybe one of these guys is dating Lucas' daughter Amanda and can give you the real inside scoop . . . I read over 100 Star Wars Sites a week so please bear with me. I think I am starting to lose my sanity . . . See you again soon

Your friend, The Silencer
