(1) I created this picture because I feel that it may help the 
reader understand and identify the points and theories that I 
illustrate throughout this piece.  The way in which this Pride 
scene is constructed may generate contrary feelings and 
opinions.  But the key is to understand that everyone interprets 
Pride differently through space and time.  This scene is not so 
much a declarative statement of what happens at most, or even 
all, Pride events, but was just constructed so as to illustrate 
my point and my perspective.
