They originate from the lake Cayuga area wich is also where they get 
their name from.  This ia a truely majestic breed, and is quiet and Hardy.
The corect color is black from bill to feet, with a brilliant beetle green 
sheen. Hens should weigh 5-6 pounds, and Drakes should weigh 6-7 pounds. 
The hen's lay interesting eggs in that they start out anywhere from light 
blue to a blakish color.  As the eggs are incubated they gradually lighten.
