Adina VANCE (Alina? Sena)) was born about 1791 probably in Russell County Virginia. She is the daughter of Abner VANCE and Susannah HOWARD. She married Joseph DEMPSEY about 1823. Joseph DEMPSEY was born about 1799. He is the son of John DEMPSEY and Rachel SOLOMON. Adina VANCE and Joseph DEMPSEY had 3 children that I have listed. They are:
(1) William Anderson DEMPSEY b. 1827,
(2) Sophinony J. DEMPSEY b. 1832,
(3) Sena Ann "Sarah" DEMPSEY b. 1824.
The 1860 Logan County West Virginia Census has Joseph and Alena (Alina? Sena) DEMPSEY living in Dwelling # 315. Joseph was 61 and Alena was 71.
