Elizabeth VANCE was born about 1794 in probably Russell, County Virginia. She is the daughter of Abner VANCE and Susannah HOWARD. To my knowledge she never married. Elizabeth died after 1850 in Logan County Va/WVa. Elizabeth VANCE had 7 children that I have listed. They are:

(1) Mary VANCE b. 1831,

(2) Nancy A. VANCE b. 1813,

(3) James "Bad Jim" VANCE b. 1832,

(4) Richard VANCE b. 1822,

(5) Zeb VANCE,

(6) Phoebe VANCE.

(7) Sarah VANCE b. 1815.

Apparently the honor of Elizabeth VANCE was what eventually lead to the hanging of Abner VANCE on 16-Jul-1819.
