Amelia "Mary" VANCE (Sometimes known as "Millie") was born about 1796 in probably Russell County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Abner VANCE & Susannah HOWARD. She married James BROWN about 1820. James BROWN was born about 1792. He died about 1859 in Logan County West Virginia. He was the son of James BROWN Sr. and Esther ??. Amelia died after 1870 in Logan County, West Virginia. Amelia "Mary" VANCE and James BROWN had 13 children that I have listed. They are:
