Sarah VANCE was born about 1811 in probably Russell County, Virginia. She is the daughter of Abner VANCE and Susannah HOWARD. She married John MCCLOUD about 1830 in Logan County, Virginia. John MCCLOUD was born about 1799. John died about 1877. She died 1867 in Logan County West Virginia. Sarah VANCE and John MCCLOUD had 10 children that I have listed. They are:
(1) Mary Jane MCCLOUD b. 1849,
(2) Obe MCCLOUD,
(3) Malinda MCCLOUD b. 1832,
(4) John MCCLOUD b. 1834,
(5) Charles MCCLOUD b. 1836,
(6) Daniel "Coon" MCCLOUD b. 1838,
(7) Calahill MCCLOUD,
(8) Jackson MCCLOUD b. 1842,
(9) Melvin MCCLOUD b. 1844,
(10) Overton MCCLOUD b. 1846.
