The aft Fourth "Dummy" Funnel of RMS Titanic. It was big enough to drive a locamotive through and still have room. The Titanic was origionally only supposed to have 3 funnels, but Lord Pirrie and J.Bruce Ismay decided on 4 because it showed power and prestige. It was used for storage and a exhaust outlet to the kitchen.



RMS Titanic and RMS Olympic at dock in Belfast, March 1912. The Olympic was accidently rammed by HMS Hawke, a Royal Navy Destroyer in 1911, and needed serious repairs. The Titanic was readying for sea trials.
