Our Town has it areas of water A lake that is 52 miles of shoreline and is approximately nine miles long and three miles wide.For years the 17,500 acres reservior was the largest artifical body of water in the world.And even as today,it's the largest artifical body of water in the world,built without the use of marchinery.Two lighthouses grace the scenery on the Grand Lake of St.Marys. In the early days a lighthouse located at the Northmoor on the north side of the lake, operated under a goverment license during the months from April to Nov.Now the Eddystone Lighthouse copy is just a monument to the original English Channel Beacon.In 1986 the Celina Rotary built a 40 foot working Lighthouse on the west bank of the lake.A wrought iron observation deck encircles the structure. Canal Boat-As we call it The Bells of St.Marys Is located south of town,the city of St.Marys has built a full scale replica of a canal boat.It is 76.76 feet long and 14.5 feet wide.It is docked in the part of old canal at the Memeorial Park.As St.Marys is a tourist attraction for the Grand Lake. 11 miles East is the Neil Armstrong Air & Space Museum in Wapakoneta,Ohio also many years ago Wapakoneta use to be called Wapauhkonetta as it is know for the Shawnee Indian Reservation as a 10x12 square miles by the Treaty of Maumee Rapids in 1817 and ratified by the Treaty of St.Marys in 1818

When not traveling,we stay home and enjoy our 6 beautiful children and our grandchildren..

John enjoys the outdoors such as horseback riding, riding his Goldwing, fishing, bow hunting, and spents alot of time on the internet and IRC Chat line :)

As for me I enjoy: Bowling, camping, sightseeing, visiting the IRC folks and Collecting TAZ
