Betrayal

The Undertaker flung back his long, dark hair and prepared to put his brother into a
Tombstone Piledriver. It was time to for Kane to rest in peace... once and for all. While the
Undertaker was properly adjusting Kane, preparing him for a Tombstone, he gets clocked
with a vicious chair shot in the head by an unknown woman that ran in from the audience.

She drags Kane onto the limp Undertaker's body and ref counts the 3 and Kane wins. After
all it was a no DQ match, so no matter what happened it was all perfectly legal. Kane tilts his
head, giving her a confused look. The mystery woman just smiles at him and walks away. The
Big Red Machine shakes his head slowly and climbs out of the ring. He makes no attempt to
hurt her.

The crowd looks on puzzled, as they watch Kane follow the mysterious woman to the back.
There is one person, however, that looks on with hate filled eyes. That of course, is the
Undertaker. He watches his brother and the woman walk into the back. He's already planning
revenge against the two.

~~~RAW, the following week~~~
The newest employee of the WWF walks out to Kane's music, Kane following. She is
introduced as Goddess and quickly asks for a mic. "Well, Undertaker," she says sharply. "I'm
here to make sure you and your forces of darkness are destroyed. The way you've treated
Kane is wrong, and you must pay for your actions."
Kane looks on, nodding his head in agreement. Goddess goes to say more, but the
Undertaker's music starts up and he comes out onto the ramp, accompanied by Paul Bearer.
"Listen little girl, what's going on between my brother and I is none of your business," he
declares, eyeing her evilly. "So, I advise you go back where you came from and keep your
nose out of business that isn't yours, or else."
Goddess smirks at him. "Or else what? Oh, you talk big, but you couldn't beat Kane fair and
square if you played fair...not that you've ever really done that."
Undertaker gets angered by Goddess' words and it shows by the expression on his face. "Oh
really now? We'll just see. Kane, I challenge you to a no-holds barred match at Break Down.
The only thing is that no one is allowed to interfere. Not Paul and not your little Goddess
there. This will finally decide who is the stronger one between us." Undertaker challenges.
Kane once again nods his head, accepting the challenge. "Well, Undertaker, you've got a deal,"
Goddess says, continuing to glare at him. He smirks slightly before he and Paul walk back to
the locker room.
~~Sunday Night Heat: Night of Break Down~~
Since Undertaker is on Shane's side, Shane decides to go ahead and give Kane some trouble
and write him into a warm-up match before the PPV. Halfway through his match with Bossman,
a shot of Goddess backstage is shown. But there's something wrong with the picture. The
Corporate Ministry is holding her, while Mark proceeds to taunt and smack her.
Goddess hits the floor hard, yelling for Kane. He gets there seconds later, lighting into the
Corporate Ministry with anger. After they run off, he checks on his friend, who seems shaken
but otherwise okay. Kane's eyes blaze with fury. His brother's attack only fueled the fire.
~~Break Down~~
It's main event time as the arena in Florida gets engulfed in darkness and Kane's music
starts up. He hurriedly walks to the ring, Goddess by his side. He can barely wait for his
demonic brother to get to the ring and get revenge on him for hurting Goddess earlier that
night.
Once again, the lights go out in the arena. This time, it's The Undertaker and Paul Bearer. Paul
is there to keep that little ringrat Goddess from interfering. Tonight is the night of the Lord
Of Darkness, although Kane doesn't know it.
The Undertaker runs into the ring and charges at his younger brother. Kane dodges and
turns around and hits Undertaker with an extremely painful looking clothesline. 'Taker
groans in pain as Goddess smacks the mat and cheers Kane on.
The Undertaker slowly and painfully gets up. Kane is waiting for him. The Phenom retaliates,
slamming into his brother and punching him viciously. Outside the ring, Goddess cringes,
almost as if she feels what Kane is feeling.
The Undertaker pulls Kane up by his hair. He whips him into the ropes and bends down, hoping
to toss Kane over his back. His plan backfires as Kane kicks him in the face, knocking him
down. Kane climbs onto the turnbuckle, waiting for 'Taker to get up.
As soon as The Undertaker stands up, he is knocked back down with a flying clothesline.
Much to Goddess' and the crowd's dismay, Shane McMahon sends in his troops. The entire
Corporate Ministry starts beating up on Kane. Goddess runs in the ring like she's going to go
after one of Kane's attackers.
Goddess miraculously fends off each and every one of Kane's attackers. The crowd starts
cheering, but then suddenly stop as the unexpected happens. After Goddess gets all of the
CM out of the ring, she quickly exits the ring and grabs a chair for safety. By this time,
Undertaker has already reentered the ring hoping to get more hits in on Kane. Everyone
expects Goddess to hit her enemy, but as she stands behind the unknowing Kane, she cracks
him on the head with all her might. The crowd gasps, then start booing as she and Undertaker
embrace.
Shane runs back into the ring and joins in the group hug. Goddess is the newest member of
the Corporate Ministry. They leave and walk out of the arena to loud chants of "Assholes".
Kane sits up a moment later, staring after them and vowing revenge.
~~Raw the night after Break Down~~
As soon as the Raw pyros end, the Corporate Ministry music begins. The arena is filled with
boos as the Undertaker and Goddess make their way down to the ring, smirking evilly.
They're happy that their plans went as planned last night on the PPV. Kane never even saw it
coming.
The Undertaker asks for a mic. "You foolish mortals, it's just like you to fall for our master
plan. Goddess is and always was a Creature of the Night, and she understands that weakness
must be eliminated. That's why Kane was so thoroughly destroyed last night at Break Down."
The crowd boos and hisses even more.
The Goddess takes the mic this time. "Yes. That is true, Undertaker. Weakness must be
eliminated and Kane was one of the weakest I've ever seen. He deserved what he got last
night." Kane's music goes on and the place erupts with cheers. He makes his way down to the
ring, chair in hand. He immediately heads for Undertaker and whacks him on the head with the
chair. You could hear the crack of the chair throughout the entire arena. He drops the chair
and turns his attention towards Goddess.
Goddess looks up at Kane with wide eyes. "Kane...you don't understand!" she gasps, backing
away. He tugs at his glove and keeps walking towards her. "I-I didn't mean to hurt you! Trust
me!" she begs, but it's no use. The Big Red Machine grabs her by the throat and chokeslams
her. The crowd erupts with cheers. Kane stares down at the carnage and his unconscious
brother and former friend. An age-old war had come to life once again.
