he was born Michael Raine Maida, but officially changed his name to Raine because there's another a Mike in the band - Mike Turner
he dropped out of studying criminology at the University of Toronto just a few months shy of graduation to join the band
greatly influenced by Sinead O'Connor
he has a brother, Adam, 18 years younger than him (9 years old)
the first song he learned to play was "Sunday Bloody Sunday" by U2
the record that changed his life was Sinead O'Connor's The Lion And The Cobra
he especially loves Universal Mother because it's such a "common record"
he has a tattoo of a cross and vine on his left shoulder.
I don't know for sure, but I think that in Ontario, he attended All Saints (elementary school) and Scarlett Heights(high school)
