    If anyone tries to describe Grimlock, they would definitely say that he's a "hands on" commander. He's always at the forefront of any engagement with the Predacons, a fact that never fails to inspire the troops under his command. In battle he is a fearsome opponent. His teeth can tear through almost any armor, while his own armor is proof to all but the most powerful bombardments. His aerial mode is fast, but not to maneuverable and unfortunately (from Grimlock's standpoint) woefully under armed. In robot mode he wields his double barreled missile launcher and his energo sword. Grimlock has an unfortunate tendency towards arrogance, this can  get him into situations that he cannot easily get out of, as well as putting him at odds occasionally with Optimus Primal.
