Unloading waste
Bill's Project was with the City of Burleson in sponsoring a hazardous household waste collection. Local residents brought their household waste to Fire Station #2 and we either recycled it or disposed of it properly.
Recycle it!
The Scouts collected used motor oil into 55 gallon drums for recycling.
Don't Drink it!
Recycling old oil keeps it out of our aquifers.
What is this stuff?
We also collected old paint and separated it between latex and oil-based.
And the survey says!
The scouts surveyed cars dropping off waste to determine the types of waste, the quantity of waste, and how long they had it in their home to determined the benefit of the project.
