Aquarium Secrets and Home Remedies

by Kent Turner

As promised I have added a new section listing do-it-yourself secrets and shortcuts that will make life easier for aquarists on a tight budget. While it would be nice to have a computerized CO2 meter on every planted aquarium, that just isn't really practical at all. There are several home remedies that can work just as well as expensive brand name concoctions, although care must be taken to ensure that they are used properly. Many of these recipes are popular and may be found elsewhere on the web, but some of them are my own. I hope they help put the beautiful aquarium you dreamed of within reach of your budget.
