CALTHORPE


     SIR WILLIAM CALTHORPE , b. 1409, d. 1494 ae. 85.  He left a will. Sir William was the sheriff of Norfolk from 1442 thru 1458 and from 1464 thru 1476. [1:168, line 257, gen. 37]

     He married (1) Elizabeth Gray, who d. in 1437. She was the daughter of Reginald, Lord Gray of Ruthyn.[ibid]

     William married (2) as her first husband, ELIZABETH STAPLETON, who d. 1509. The daughter and coheir of SIR MILES STAPLETON and KATHERINE de la POLE..[ibid]

  1. ANN CALTHORPE


   ANN CALTHORPE, d. after 1494 (will), married as his (1) wife SIR ROBERT DRURY.
