• P-5 (P-1 ms) 1 Jan. 1632-3,  "It was further ordered and decreed, that if any were elected to the office of Councell, and refused to hold the place, that then he be amerced in ten pounds sterling fine; and. in case refused to be paid, to be forthwith levied". At the same court . . . "like wise Mr. William Bradford, Capt. Miles Standish, John Howland, John Alden, John Done, Stephen Hopkins, & William Gibson were chosen for the Councell the same year at the same courts who held and recieved the Oath".

• P 51 ms 102 - 6 March 1636 Court of Assistants   "A pcell of land containeing a knowle, or a little hill, lying over against Mr. Aldens lands at Blewfish River, is granted by the Court unto the said Mr. John Alden in lue of a pcell of land taken from him (next unto Samuel Nashes lands) for publike use.'

• P. 39 (P. 87 Ms) 2 Mar. 1635-6 "That the Gov., Mr Prence, Mr Collier, Mr Alden, Mr Brown and Mr John Howland to view that portion of grounds on the North side of the South River, and if they find it more beneficiall for farms to Scituate then to there pts then to allot it to them, if not, to reserve it."

• P. 48 (Ms P. 98 .) - 3 Jan. 1636  John Alden was again chosen assistant.
• (Ms. P. 99 ) 3 Jan. 1636    Allixander Higgens, Humfrey Hewett & Thomas Whitney tooke the oath of fidelitie & were admitted to "dwell & reside wth John Weeks & John Alden, or Thereabouts."

• p. 71 (Msp. 135) - 4 Dec 1637     The land bounds of John Alden were "stipulated" and he was noted as being "of Duxbery"
