The issue on abortion has not only plagued man's thinking for some time now, but has allowed him to give into illogical thinking based on selfish pleasures of lust and leading to the killing of millions of human beings. It is estimated that in the US alone, those that are reported, 4000 abortions take place daily. The issue of abortion is not something new to mankind's existence down through the ages. Some have traced the abortion issue as far back as 2000 B.C. through various writings.

     Just as there is today, in ancient times, peoples beliefs varied greatly on this subject with the exception of the Jewish faith. They were totally opposed to abortion of any kind after which conception took place. Yahweh (God) was the giver of life and no one had the right to take it away. Once the seed of a man and a woman united together, this was the wishes of the Almighty in His procreation plan for mankind. Also, many of the pagan religions early on, used abortion as a form of population control. Some would even kill the babies at birth, just as we see some countries doing today. However, this can not justify man's reasoning.

     A major factor surrounding abortions in ancient times, as in modern times, was the determination of just when a soul entered into a body. The beliefs of Aristotle, who lived between 384-322 B.C., were widely accepted by both Rome and Greece. He had come to the conclusion that there were three souls in the development of a human being. At conception a vegetable soul was present, later in gestation evolved an animal soul, then the human soul. This all took place between the first 40 days for males and 90 days for females.

     This may sound a bit strange, but when the abortion issue came up in this century, the US Supreme Court decided that states could restrict women access to abortion after the first trimester. A trimester equals 90 days. Did the Supreme Court read up on Aristotle's beliefs? No where in the Bible does it speak of a human being having three souls.

     How can one determine the entrance of a Soul? Well, the Bible tells us, although Adam was already formed as a full man, when Yahweh breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, he became a living being or soul (Gen. 2:7). But, from the time of Adam up to now, birth of a human being takes place in a different way. It takes place in the womb of a woman when the seed of a man becomes joined with her seed. Upon or at this point of the two seeds joining together is the very moment in which the beginning of a new life begins.

     We can view human life, as it was in Yahweh's plan, in contrast with life in nature itself as it too was part of His plan to when life actually begins. How can we do this? For our illustration we will use the seed of a tree. When the seed is planted into the ground we can no longer see it, but, when the inner parts of that seed break through the out shell - life of a new tree has begun. This is called the very first stage of development, the unfolding of infancy in the life cycle of that tree. Because you can not see what is taking place because it is hidden from you, does not mean there is no new life. If you were to remove the dirt where the seed was planted you would see something coming out of that seed, this is a new life producing after its own kind which will become known as a tree.

     When the seed of a man joins with the seed of a woman this same cycle of life begins in the forming of a human being. The seed contains everything that is needed to form the threefold nature of man, the body, soul, and spirit. Although the woman may be used as a temporary instrument or vehicle for what we know or call the breath of life of the developing fetus in it's early stages and right up to the delivery point, in no way makes that fetus any less human then you or I.

     Most people tend to forget that this was the starting point or early beginning of their own life. What if you had been aborted? Some have come back with a clever or sly remark such as this "If that had happen I wouldn't have known about it, therefore , what's the big deal?" The big deal is that Yahweh (God) has placed an high esteem on human life. We have been placed above all creatures on earth. Even a mother bird will fight harder to protect the eggs of it's unborn then humans; And yet, we are suppose to be more intelligent than the bird.

     Nevertheless, the mechanism (seed planted) of life has begun at the moment of conception just as the seed of the tree being planted in the earth or in the bird laying of it's eggs.

     Now, we'll take a look at some of the issues on a human level surrounding abortion.

     We all know that we have a freedom of choice. But, does that mean whatever we choose to do is RIGHT? We have a Constitution set in place which is suppose to be a guideline for this Nation in doing what is right, but this does not mean everything that this document contains, or the things that have been added to it are right. We see judges and lawyers having different interpretations for the same law.

     When we look in the Bible we see from the time Moses when he was given the 613 laws to be a guide for Israel, by the time it got down to Yahshua's appearance on earth over three thousand new laws had been added. All of these new laws place even a greater burden upon the people. Most of these new laws were added to meet the agenda of those who were in power at the time and to have an ever greater control over the people. Remember, all these new laws were man made and gave no consideration to the laws already established by Yahweh.

     When the Roe vs. Wade Act became law, this too, was merely a man made law and went against every grain of humanity. The seven Supreme Court justices who enacted this law merely gave woman who believed in abortion a legal law to stand on. I certainly wouldn't want to be one of those seven justices or anyone else who believes in abortion on judgement day.

     Mother Theresa, one of the greatest humanitarian's of our times had this to say about Roe vs. Wade;

     "Roe vs. Wade has deformed a great nation. The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. It has sown violence and discord at the heart of the most intimate human relationships. It has aggravated the derogation of the father's role in an increasingly fatherless society. It has portrayed the greatest of gifts -- a child -- as a competitor, an intrusion, and an inconvenience. It has nominally accorded mothers unfettered dominion over the independent lives of their physically dependent sons and daughters. And, in granting this unconscionable power, it has exposed many women to unjust and selfish demands from their husbands or other sexual partners. Human rights are not a privilege conferred by government. They are every human being's entitlement by virtue of his humanity. The right to life does not depend, and must not be declared to be contingent, on the pleasure of anyone else, not even a parent or a sovereign."

     We certainly have seen violence at abortion clinics. Day by day we see the governmental judiciary, due to special interest groups, using courts to slowly recondition social rule. When a child of 13 or 14 learns that they have become pregnant and seeks an abortion, the government says that the parents have not right to know what is going on. This is not only an assault on the sanctity of life, but an assault on the parents in bring up their own children. When is this nation and government going to wake-up?

     Now, it is certainly true to say that a woman has rights over her own body, but those rights must be contained within the rules and laws of our Creator. The lust of the flesh, for a few moments of pleasure, should not be our guide which could lead to an abortion. Scripture tells us "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have of Yahweh (God), and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify Yahweh in your body, and in your spirit, which are Yahweh's." (1 Cor. 6:19-20)

     When a woman decides to have an abortion, she is not only the defendant, but she becomes the judge and jury of her case. She also represents the form of a prosecutor too. Once the fetus becomes convicted and sentenced, then she calls upon the abortionist who become the executioner. This is all based upon a woman's choice of what she believes is her "Freedom of Rights" to do with her body as she sees fit. Take this case to the high court in heaven and see what a just judge will say.

     Many people claim that the Bible is silent on the issue of abortion. So let us se"Te if this is true. First of all, we know that Yahweh is the giver of all laws by which man is to follow in. Timothy tells us "But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;" 1 Timothy 1:8. Paul says "For I delight in the law of Yahweh after the inward man:" Romans 7:22. Psalms 19:7 reveals even more about the law; "The law of Yahweh is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of Yahweh is sure, making wise the simple."

     Well! If the Simple want to become Wise on the issue of abortion, one just has to look at Exodus 21:22-23, (22) "If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. (23) And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life," KJV.

     Another Bible version reads like this, "If people are fighting with each other and happen to hurt a pregnant woman so badly that her unborn child dies, then, even if no other harm follows, he must be fined. He must pay the amount set by the woman's husband and confirmed by judges. But if any harm follows, then you are to give life for life," CJB.

     In both versions it's very clear that the main topic is "a woman carrying a child not yet born." It does not state a what stage of development the child is at and seems to have no barring on the subject of lost. The main focus seems to be on the lost and whether it is unintentional (accidental) or intentional (contemplated, deliberate, or premeditated).

     The words "mischief" and "harm" are interchangeable and mean the same "wickedness, evil intent, to cause injury, or even death." When the words "no mischief" are used, this means that no intent to cause injury or death were involved. However, when no mischief is involved, there is still a penalty or price to pay as scripture shows.

     But, when the death of an unborn child accrues and is intentional, the penalty becomes even greater. It calls for - "a life for a life." In the case of abortions today, this would mean that the doctor who preformed the abortion would have to give up his life for taking the life of an unborn child. Or, if a woman who would preform an abortion on herself, the same would be true "a life for a life."

     This form of action, if taken, would cause all kinds of protests. And, they would give all kinds of arguments against this form of action just as they have taken against the death penalty. They would say that "we live in a more civilized world today and this would be considered an inhuman act." No matter what one may think, if it doesn't line up with the Word of Yahweh (God), we are totally wrong in our thinking and not in accord with His Laws.

     We claim to be "One Nation Under God." Are we really? We use the word "God," but the Bible tells us that there are two gods; one is God the Creator of this world and the other is a god who has rule over the earth - still for a period of time. Who is one speaking of when they use the word God? Only you can answer that!

     Yahweh our Creator has nothing against government, in fact, He was the One to tell the people to set it up. "Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which Yahweh thy Father giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment." (Deut. 16:18) Are we being judged under just judgment, according to and under the Laws of Yahweh? Is each individual doing the same, one toward another?

     Abortion is murder, and no one should receive satisfaction from it. When one receives an abortion, they are certainly receiving satisfaction for one of many reasons. It could be that the child would be an inconvenience, can not afford it, or the child may grow up without a father. Many reason could be given. Yet, none of them will cut any ice with Yahweh. Numbers 35:31 states "Moreover ye shall take no satisfaction for the life of a murderer, which is guilty of death: but he shall be surely put to death." The word "murderer" here is referring to an ABORTIONIST and as defined in Exodus 21:23 where mischief is involved in an unborn child.

     Now, we fall into, what could very well be a hotly debated question. When some one becomes pregnant through incest or rape, do they have the right to have an abortion?

     To answer this question, we must look at two issues involved here. First, we must look at the one who has committed the act of rape or incest. Through either of these two acts, if the woman becomes pregnant is another issue. The one committing either of these first two acts must be brought before the courts of justice and dealt with accordingly.

     The second issue we are now confronted with, is if a woman becomes pregnant. This is a separate issue altogether and one must act upon this separately and according to scripture. Yes! The woman has gone through a traumatic experience without a doubt and she will have to live with that for the rest of her life. But, she cannot take and try to "Justify" one act of "Mischievousness" (wickedness) to justify another act of mischievousness. Each act must be justify upon it's own merits.

     You must remember that the Heavenly Father is with you every step of the way. By going through the full term of pregnancy you might discover a bonding of love between you and the child that you never experience before. After you have the child and still decide you don't want it, the Father has provided a way for the child to be taken care of. You can always give it up for adoption. At lest you have done your part in a righteous manner and have not violated His Law.

     Now we come to an even more complex problem pertaining to the issue of abortion. What if the mother's life is in jeopardy during child birth; What decision should be made if this happens? Should the doctor save the mother or child?

     We know it is the duty of the doctor to try and save both the life of the mother and the child. But when one is faced with that last moment in making a choice, what is that choice going to be? The right choice, would be to save the life of the child.

     Now, before you go getting all upset and bent out of shape, let us look at what the Bible has to say. And, don't let your emotions get in the way. In the book of Genesis 2:18 says "And Yahweh said, it is not good that a man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him." Going back to Gen. 1:27 we see that Yahweh "male and female created he them." Verse 28 we read "And Yahweh blessed them, and Yahweh said unto them; Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth."

     Although a man and woman are part of the replenishing process, to pro-create, the bringing of children into the world, the heavier burden at first lies with the woman. She is the one that has to carry the child for nine months. This was part of Yahweh's overall plan. There can be no greater joy than bringing new life into the world as most women will confirm.

     But, what if the woman is not here to enjoy the fruits of her labour? We can view this in correlation with Yahshua (Jesus). He gave up His life so that we could have life. The Bible records many others who gave up their lives for the life of the Word to be proclaimed. All in all, a woman who were to lose her life for a child is doing very much the same. Our greatest rewards await us in Heaven, not here on earth.

     Matthew 5:21 says "Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment." Anyone who choose to save their own life for the life of a child, is certainly in danger of the judgment according to this verse. This is given, not to try and place guilt on you as a woman, but merely to present as many facts as possible surrounding this matter. The final choice, as in everything, must lie with you and your Heavenly Father.

     One final word for those who have already had an abortion. Just because you may of had an abortion does not mean that you are doomed to hell, as some teach; But, you do need to ask the Heavenly Father for forgiveness, for He is quick to forgive if we ask in the righteousness of Yahshua (Jesus).
