sanrio! OK, I have no idea why I didn't make this page first thing. I am absolutely obsessed with sanrio! No, I'm beyond obsessed, I'm beyond help! I love sanrio to pieces and I always will! OK, here's a little info on sanrio just to sum it all up, or in case you didn't know... Well, it all started in London, England, in 1976, when a genius sketched an adorable little kitten on a piece of paper. This kitty was later named "Hello Kitty" and was soon to be known, and loved, worldwide. Later, other characters developed. Including the ever famous Keroppi, or the chubby street dog, Pochacco. I'd say the four main main characters are: Hello Kitty, Keroppi, Pochacco, and Pekkle. Some others known well are: Spottie Dottie, Badtz Maru, and My Melody. I think if you asked me, I could name just about every sanrio character known in America. Right now, the sanrio business and production is mostly in Japan *sniff* and there are MANY other characters that are sold there, and not here. I have always had favorite sanrio characters. I can tell you what they were in the order they were my favorite. First was Hello Kitty, then was the cute little Monkey, Monkichi. Next were the Little Twin Stars (a.k.a. Kiki & Lala), and finally, Purin! Oh, Purin is adorable! He is a jolly little golden retriever guy, with a brown berret. He looks like vanilla pudding! He is one of the newest characters, so he is not widely known yet. Below are pictures of a bunch of the sanrio family.
