Medium-Term Goals (3 Years)
To have successfully designed, built and had launched our first satellite.
To have a second satellite, based on the same structural, communications and power systems as the first, in a launch-ready state.
To have identified achievable long term goals to insure the continuity of UNSW SFS satellite projects.
To have at least one sponsor payload on the second satellite (preferably one on the first and up to two on the second).
To have conducted our own experiment on the first satellite and have another installed on the second that will serve our mission and fulfil our long and short term goals.
To have an autonomous ground station operating, capable of collecting data from satellites.
To established procedures and commercial relationships to procure funding, launch, materials, facilities, construction etc for future purposes.
To be in a position to build one satellite platform (excluding payloads and launch) per year for under $10,000.
To achieve industry recognition.
