For a thousand years, a geocentric universe was accepted. Hipparchus' theory was developed and published by Claudius Ptolemaus- - with the help of the church, and no-one dared to contest it. 'TRUTH', it would seem, is better sacrificed,! in the name of maintaining the equillibrium of the cart which carries the apples!! Similar cases to the above have weighed on the heels of man's evolutionary and spiritual path for thousands of years, and it seems that even now we have no other choice than to accept the powers that be,and accept their wisdom, or reasons/excuses, for delaying the acceptance of the Truth. New knowledge relating to the building of the Egyptian Pyramids and the Sphinx, has been brushed under the carpet recently, and also, perhaps, not so recently!! The main findings, that appear to be irrefutable, is that the accepted dating for the building of the Sphinx and the Pyramids, and the 'sequence' in which they were built, is all wrong!! The Sphinx, for instance, is much, much older than was first expected, and the Archaeological mapping of the sequence in which several important Temples/ Pyramids/ Sphinx and tombs etc.were built is way out also!! There is almost no argument over this, but the fear of having to completely reassess the 'Time-map' is a prohibitive enough factor to ensure, at least, the delay of looking deeper into the TRUTH.
