As the dawn breaks over the window sill, disturbing my pleasant time of
rest,
I open an eye to the daylight and yawn.
My humans surely must be up by now,
For this is the day of the Jellicle Ball.
But here they lie, asleep in their bed,
What foolish creatures they are, to rest while there's so much to be
done.
I'm quiet enough in the morning hours, sending my humans into a state
of
panic.
I don't see what's so strange about me being calm.
I'm quiet enough in the afternoon,
Washing my whiskers and licking my ears,
For tonight is the night of the Jellicle Moon.
