'Mister Bowdler's Nightmare', from Nightmares Of Eminent Persons by Bertrand A. W. Russell, comes to mind... unlike many criticisms of bluenose attitudes, it is itself quite proper in language and vocabulary. Better not look at the others in that book though; I can't warrant them against offensiveness, not altogether. - What the retired Judge uttered when he came to the point of delivering his opinion on the last case of his career (in G. K. Chesterton's 'The Tremendous Adventures of Major Brown' from The Club of Queer Trades), also seems (to me) somewhat appropriate!
