-GeorgeLucas was doing ensemble auditions for Star Wars. He was short one person
for the character of Han Solo. He asked a set construction worker if he
could fill in. His reading was so good and he had such good chemistry between
Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia Organa) and Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) that
he eventually got the part.The set constructor was of course Harrison Ford.
-In the sceen, in Indiana
Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Arc, when Indy was looking for Marian
in Cairo and he had to face the swords man, Harrison was supposed to do
a big fighting seen but he had a bad case of diarhea. They had to cut the
seen short because he kepted on having to run to the bathroom. So Ford
suggested that Indy just shoot him instead of the fighting seen so he did.
-Harrison resides in Jackson's
Hole, Wyoming at an 800-acre ranch but lives in New York when his children
go to school.
-Harrison got the scar
on his chin from a car accident when he was 21. His car ran into a telephone
pole and he hit his chin on the steering wheel. (poor Harrison!!)

on July 13 1942 in Chicago, Illinois.
-He has a younger brother
named Terence.
-He went to East Maine
Township Junior High in Des Plaines, Illinois and graduated in 1960.
-Studied English and philosophy
at a small liberal arts college called Ripon College, situated in
central Wisconsin. He was booted out of college, just three months before
graduation. In those last few months at Ripon, Ford refused to attend classes
or sit in exams; he chose to try out the drama course, and appeared in
a number of college productions.
-He moved to L.A. worked
as a carpenter playing small roles in minor movies.
-He got his first big break in American Graffiti as Bob Falfa. His career started
to slow down a bit after that so he continued on with carpentry until an
unknown director called George Lucas came along.
