Small Engine Tips
- The first a most important thing. Check your oil!! Oil is much cheaper that a new motor.
Also be careful not to overfill your oil. A guy gave me a lawnmower, a while back, and he
said the motor was shot because it was burning oil. I got it home and drained about a pint
of extra oil out of it and it was fine.
- Use sae 30 oil in the summer. This will help the motor stay properly lubricated when it
is hot. Use a multigrade, such as 10w30, in the cold so the motor has proper lubrication
at start up.
- Do not use dry gas or other additives in you gasoline. Some preservatives are ok but
generally I wouldn't leave old gas in the motor. Dry gas burns very hot and can cause
severe internal damage.
- I will add more very soon.
