Clan Background

Clan Khulari have been around for millennia, though their unique (To Western Kindred) ability to traverse the Umbra means they are rarely seen by other Vampires. In fact, the last two confirmed Khulari sightings in the West were in 106 BC and 1412 AD. They are more closely aligned with the Sabbat than any other Sect, though they owe allegiance only to themselves and Their 'Benefactor' in the Umbra, Asmodeus. The Khulari are Master Occultists among other things and are adept at dealing with those entities known as Daemons (referred to by others as demons). In fact, the entire Clan has strong ties to the Netherworld and often travel there to seek counsel. The Khulari have resurrected the Baali Discipline, Daimoinon. And also have their own Discipline, known as Omnipitude, which is the physical manifestation of their impending personal Godhead.

The main reason the Khulari have been distant from Kindred affairs has been the fact that they are above such concerns. They have more important matters to attend, like the coming of the Antediluvians, and the rumours from the Gaki of Japan that the Yama Kings are going to herald in the Sixth Age, the Age of Sorrow. The Yama Kings are powerful Demons (not Daemons, they are a different type of entity). They seek to enslave the world, just like the Antediluvians, the more philosophical among the Khulari state that the Yama Kings may well be Antediluvians.

The Khulari follow the Satanic ethic of making oneself a god, and as such, are seen as power-mad Diabolists by most none-informed Kindred, even the Tremere are scared witless by these powerful Kindred. The Khulari follow a Path of Enlightenment known as the Path of Ascendance, and is followed to the letter by every member of this Clan. Also, the Khulari have a similar rite to the Vaulderie, and each character should work out the rating to the Clan and their packmates.

***Storyteller note: The Khulari are not very helpful towards other Clans and as such should only be played as N.P.C's or in a group containing just Khulari or Khulari, Kuei-Jin and Sabbat***
