This is a Poem that someone wrote for my GGGrandparents 60th ann.
You tell us we are getting old We tell you that's not so! The "house" we live in is worn out, and that of course we know. It's been in use along,long while; its weathered many a gale; we're realy not suprised you think it's getting somewhat frail. The color is changing on the roof,the windows getting dim. The walls a bit transparent, and looking rather thin. The foundations not so steady as once it used to be- Our "house" is getting shaky, but our house isn't we!
Our few short years cann't make us old.We feel were in our youth. Eternity lies just ahead, a life of joy and truth. We're going to live forever, there; life will go on-it's grand! You tell us we are getting old? You just don't understand.
The dweller in our little"house"is young and bright and gay. Just starting on a life to last throughout eternal day. You only see the outside, which is all that most folks see. You tell us we are getting old? You've missed our "house"with we!
