Drifting Lazy Days

Morning mist drifts across the way
And I awake to a hazy golden day
Sun is rising as I stretch my arms
Yawning I know I am safe from harm
Out my window I hear the birds chirping
The little hummers busily slurping
Sun glints off the bright color feeder
A soft breeze drifting through the cedar
I lay here looking at the world out side
Feeling so lazy taking it all in stride
Watching a squirrel eating on ear of corn
The black bird screeching hear their scorn
A spider spinning a web on the window ledge
I can see him as he spins it out over the edge
The day is coming to life and still I laze in bed
Summer time is here cold days have fled
Lazy days are drifting warmth and joy are ours
Night with cool breezes s drifting under stars
As the years flow by we find many ways
To enjoy our lives, and drift on lazy days

DRIFTING

What’s this I see a Haggis drifting in the sea.
To rescue it would be up to me.
There it lies in a mess kilt in the air.
It’s bagpipes to be seen nay where.
There is the Scottish pudding o’ the race.
Its saucy lucking face sizzling I can hear.
Bloated and looking a sight enough to gi ye a fright
Noo di I give the kiss of life or di I stab it wi my knife.
Its entrails would splatter all o’er the place.
A delicate operation I really fear a wee dram oh courage
I need and some o’er the haggis heed.
Oh wits this I see the whisky has given it new life.
All it need to revive, up it goes with new zest.
Well I guess it was for the best.

On Montana road,
Huge drifts because it had snowed.
Plows quit – overload!

Bought a boat the other day.
Then I launched it in the bay,
Forgot when you moor,
Must tie it secure.
Watched my new boat drifting away!

Scented Summer

Warm summer day scented flowers wafting with new mown hay.
Birds chirping and singing in the trees insects buzzing away.
Lazing on a deck chair reading and resting throughout the day.
Listening to a rumble of thunder in the distance not to far away.
Roses in bloom smelling their heady perfume.
Smells of a barbeque wafting in the air some one having fun somewhere.
Charcoal smoke making me choke why cant they tell you these folk.
Clothes hanging on the line making a dash to take them in.
Before they smell like an old braziers bin.

Scented May Flowers

March winds are over, April showers are past,
My garden is planted flowers blooming at last.
The scent of the lilacs fill the air very near’
Irises are sprouting purple hues every where.
I love weeding my garden scent of roses in my nose.
My petunias so lovely in my garden grows.
The rose moss so tiny spreads its blooms all array.
There is nothing as wonderful as the scent on a spring day.
I watch from my window as butterfly’s flutter.
All around my daisy’s the color of butter.
The hummingbirds drinking nectar so sweet.
The scent of spring flowers is gods great treat.

Weak and,Contemplating

Looking across the street I see people
On a church across the street I see a steeple
Towering high above I see the birds fly by
And the sun glisten bright I hear their cry
Swooping, soaring, diving breathless height
Feel the wind beneath their wings in flight
And I sit here at my window just waiting
Just myself sitting here weak and, contemplating

Looking in the mirror I see a frowning face
I see a pair of eyes stare in to space
I see the brows that arch above the eyes
And wonder at the teardrops as she cries
Looking at the mouth I see the lonely pout
Looking at that face I see there is doubt
Asking why she sits alone and is not dating
Asking why she sits here weak and contemplating

Contemplating is another word for ponder
Always thinking, wishing wanting or wonder
Contemplating what he wishes to change
Always doing what he can to rearrange
He is never ever happy with his worth
Many times he tries,and tries to leave this earth
He is either in a loving mood or he is hating
Or he is sitting alone weak an,dcontemplating

WEAK.

I held your weak hand in mine as your life declined.
Your face had a glow and I knew you had seen something divine.
Angels must have been around your bed as you indicated so.
You made as if your going up a stair then you talked to someone there.
Time went on and I loved you so but I knew it was time to let you go.
I prayed near the end for you freedom of pain to go and god to take you from me.
With one last sigh you went you, life on earth was spent.
Father I will love you to my dieing day as your love lives on in me.

WEAKNESS WITHIN

Weakness within the moral fabric of any nation,
will cause populations great discomfort and frustration?
Where anything and everything are deemed to be okay,
there are so many areas that are left in the gray.
Allowing small groups of people to cause major reform,
realizing to late it was just the tip of the storm.
We once were able to tell our children whom they could trust,
now those same people are causing heads to turn in disgust.
There does not seem to be many rules that all agree with,
maybe why many stand before judges taking the fifth.
What can be done to change the downfall of any nation?
that depends, I believe, on how one views their salvation.
What does salvation have to do with weakness from within?
knowing that satan rules this world and it is filled with sin.

Power of a Storm

You hear the thunder it is coming your way.
Clouds began gathering in the sky today.
Leaves are turning over up to the sky.
Now the breeze is rising dust starts to fly.
Thunders getting closer winds begin to blow.
Rain starts to sprinkle down on those below.

Soon the Howling wind is bending the trees.
Stripping the branches of their pretty leaves.
Rain starts pelting in a torrent from the sky.
Lighting flashing angrily from way up high.
Hail is pounding down with a Power and fury.
When the storm is over you see the rainbow in Missouri

I wondered where it could be

Then I finally found one and candles galore

But by then the power had been restored-
