Biography part 2 Luckily the feud with Booker T continued, so there wass still hope! Benoit had a good match with Curt Hennig, when Rude interfered and caused the disqualification for Hennig. Booker T came to the rescue of Benoit, but as we know Benoit can take care of himself and when he told Booker that he didn't needed his help, a brawl started.
Benoit defeated Booker T to win the WCW TV Title at a house show in Georgia, it was a thrilling bout and Benoit finally got what he has deserved a title in WCW. Unfortunately the regain didn't last long the next night at a house show in Greenville, Booker T regained the strap.
At the Profiles in Pain, pay-per-listen show, Benoit and Booker T went at it again. Benoit defeated Booker T to win the WCW TV Title for a second time. Well the WCW surprised me again, at May 3rd at a house show in Savannah Benoit and Booker T got it on again, this time Booker T won the match and the title, making Benoit a former two time WCW TV Champion. Come on WCW give a Benoit a clean break!
It looks like the WCW won't pull Benoit and Booker T apart, but now they will have to feud without the TV Title, since Benoit caused Booker T to loose the title to Fit Finley at Nitro, May 4th. The next week Benoit fought Booker T to decide who would get the shot at Slamboree, and for the first time on TV Benoit defeated Booker. Way to go.
Benoit's victory at Nitro wasn't enough for Benoit to get the win at Slamboree, where Finley's strength and Booker T's distraction proved to be too much for Benoit.
At Thunder, Booker T was declared the number one contender for the TV Title, this didn't sit well with Benoit, who laid out Booker T. At Nitro, May 25th, we were witness to the first match in the best of seven series between Benoit and Booker T to declare the number one contender for the TV Title. It was truly a great match, where Benoit came out on top with the Crippler CrossFace. At Thunder Benoit lost the second match, but Benoit got the last laugh at Saturday Night and Nitro, June 2nd, which means Benoit leads 3-1. At Thunder, June 4th, Booker T won the fifth match with a little help from his brother Stevie Ray. Booker T also won the sixth match at Nitro, and again Stevie Ray had a thing to say, so it will all be settled at Thunder.
Bret Hart offered Benoit a spot with nWo Hollywood, but to no avail. In the final match in the series with Booker T, Benoit was in control, he almost buried Booker, Bret then came down and laid out Booker with a chair. Benoit refused to pin him, because he didn't want to win that way, he told the referee what had happened and was disqualified, and thereby lost the series. Later that night JJ Dillon and Booker T had a little talk, Booker didn't want to win like that, Dillon then decided to scrap the match and have the final match at the Bash, the winner would then face Finley for the title the same night. At the Great American Bash, Benoit and Booker T faced off in the last match in the best of seven series, it was the best match so far, but Booker T came out on top. Again we had our hopes high, and again we were disappointed.
Nitro, June 15, Benoit battled the former TV Champion, Fit Finley, in a tough match, where the Crippler came out on top. After the match, Benoit was interviewed by Mean Gene, and was asked if had respect for Booker T, Benoit then invited Booker to the ring, where they shook hands and Benoit raised Booker's hand. When Benoit offered his help to Booker, Stevie Ray interrupted and attacked Benoit, to the rescue came Steve McMichael. After the ring had cleared Benoit said that he was not here to represent the black and red, nor was he here to represent nWo black and white, Benoit said he was here for one thing only, then he showed us the Four Horsemen salute together with McMichael. Have WCW found a new leader for the Horsemen in Benoit? Looks so, Benoit has tried to talk Arn Anderson into the group again, but so far Arn won't participate.
On Nitro, June 22, Benoit had a busy evening, first Benoit was attacked by Stevie Ray in the locker room area. Then Bret Hart berated Benoit about his ungratefulness to the Hart family. Later Benoit saved Steve McMichael from a chair shot by Stevie Ray, and when Benoit wanted to use the chair on Stevie he was stopped by Booker T. Benoit also fought Bret at Nitro, and the two put on a good fight, but after a distraction from Stevie Ray, Benoit was on the receiving end from a foreign object used by Bret, who won the match.
Two weeks after Benoit lost to Bret Hart, he fractured his elbow while training in Japan...Will this have any effect on the horsemen angle??

The horsemen are back!!!! We all witness one of the greatest moments in wrestling, when Ric Flair showed up in Greenville, SC...The horsemen are now in full effect, wit Flair, Benoit, Mongo, an Dean Malenko leading the way..Arn aint that far away, as he is the horsemen manager....Will we see the horsemen taking over the power soon??
